Answer:	I just looked at the cover on one of the 3-packs and it does not identify the thread used. It is very durable, though. I use them extensively and have not had an issue with the stitching. Hope this helps

Answer:	My guess is that these are sized for men. We purchased medium unlined gloves and they are roomy for me (woman) and fit better for my husband. I can wear them and they are not uncomfortable but they feel too roomy to do any close work requiring good finger grip.

The 11 year old had slender hands and they still fit with ease. The 10 year old has wider hands, but even though they are snug, he can still wear them. I did purchase the 7-11 year old size. They are definitely worth purchasing.
