Answer:	As with any product of this nature, the expiration date is going to depend on when it was manufactured. You may be 'unlucky' and buy from a company that has had their supply in storage for years, or you may be 'lucky' and get some fresh supply. I bought mine about a year ago (2019) and it says 2021 expiration on the container. BUT - think about it - this is not some naturally biodegradable product like fruit and vegetables...it's a combination of chemicals - is it really going to 'expire' ever? Many manufacturers put expiration dates on products so you'll throw them away and buy more of the same. I'm no scientist but I'd bet these deodorants will comfortably last 10+ years. It may lose some of its aroma or effectiveness over 5-10 years but that's about it.

I would still highly recommend inserting a foam ear plug for protection to avoid an irreversible and potentially dangerous rupturing of the ear drum if the attachment head slips into the ear canal and forms anywhere near a perfect seal with the ear canal.

Answer:	Are you just using the sponge like refill? Yes, soap will just flow out. There is a handle that the refill attaches to that holds the soap in place. If you don't have that, better get one right away. It's called a "OXO Good Grips Soap Dispensing Dish Brush".
