Answer:	This is an interesting question.My understanding is it removes the residue of product build-up as a "clarifying" shampoo. To remove hard water mineral build-up in the hair, it would need to be a "chelating" shampoo. Chelating shampoos are specifically designed to prevent and remove mineral buildup in your hair. A chelating agent will chemically bind to minerals, removing them before you even have a chance to notice that they're there. Some shampoo companies throw around words like "clarifying," "chelating," and "neutralizing," so to be sure you're using the right product, look for one that has the ingredient EDTA. I recently purchased a new bottle from Ulta and noticed that the shampoo is now clear and doesn't have as strong of a grapefruit scent . The shampoo seems to clean almost the same however I think the old formula cleaned slightly better

Answer:	Not at all. This stuff will strip almost any kind of gunk out of your hair. I initially purchased it because I was being overwhelmed by hard water and product buildup (conditioner and shampoo that was ineffective). My hair was literally waxy and my scalp was oily, but after the 1st use about 2 years ago I never looked back. Here's the deal- you must use this shanpoo with the compatible Tresseme conditioner, which will definitely moisturize your scalp. My weekly hair washing routine is: I wash my hair every other day or every 2 days by working in a dab of the shampoo, rinsing, coating my hair in the conditioner, leaving it in for 3-5 minutes, and rinsing. I do not shampoo with every wash. In fact I usually shampoo once a week because this product is very strong.

Question:	Is this good for dry hair
Answer:	I would definitely try to stay focus on shampooing your roots as best as you can. I have locs and my roots are regular and my ends are dry. I used the shampoo from roots to tips and my hair felt balanced. My roots were not oily and my tips felts soft and moisturized. I have 4c hair and locs, so everyone is different. But I did like the way my hair felt! I use it once a month so I don’t overload on the protein, that can cause damage.
Question:	Can this help my hair which is oily, has dandruff problems and there is this weird hunk that shows up in my hair all the time no matter what I do

Question:	Does this shampoo work similar to the Wow Apple cider vinegar shampoo
Answer:	As a cosmetologist I am very familiar with this product and it works BUT yes you do need to follow in with another shampoo because oat and protein is just to clarify the hair of any dandruff and oils you have to go back in with what the hair needs as far as “moisturizing shampoo if your hair is dry, strengthening shampoo if your hair is breaking and elasticity in the hair if it’s weak, and it goes on and then you add your conditioner to lock in what you have already provided the hair with. You do those steps you most definitely will see and feel a difference in your hair💕
Question:	Has anyone with dreadlocks used this
Answer:	In my opinion, it helps to effectively cleanse the scalp. If a dirty scalp is the cause of the itching, then yes. My advice would be to find the underlying cause of the itching. If the itching is from dry scalp, I strongly suggest using Design Essentials Moisturizing shampoo after the Cleansing shampoo. Lastly, the Moisturizing conditioner should be used last. Using the last 2 after the Cleansing shampoo applies moisture back 2 ur scalp. I try to stick with natural oils for daily scalp usage in between washing to keep my scalp moisturized. I've had less itching. I use Jojoba oil, Argan oil, Sweet Almond oil, Avocado oil, Grapeseed oil as carrier oils &Rosemary, Bergamot, & Ylang Ylang for essential oils.I'm not consistent; I still have to experiment a little more, but I really like the avocado & bergamot.Listen to your scalp & hair if it really likes something. I'm not a product junky & simply like a healthy scalp & hair. I stand by Design Essentials shampoo/conditioner. No leave in conditioners though. If u have any questions, feel free 2 ask.
