Answer:	We bought these for a 2005 Dodge Ram - it is not 4wd so could not say but they have been and are excellent shocks

Answer:	Too short? How did you jack up your front wheels? Is your front wheel hanging? If so, then shock can't reach the top, it will seem short. You have to place your jack under the arm of the swing arms of suspension. In simpler term, do not let your tires hang. The shocks will not reach the top. You have to raise the whole tire to compress the suspension so shocks can reach the top mount.
