I've seen some people add extra soft flasks up front, in the big drop pouches that are in front of the water bottle pockets. So these people had 2L of water up front. Not sure how it runs but it did fit in there. I personally would just add the extra water in a waist belt. It is yet another thing on you but if you need the water because you go unsupported etc I feel the extra weight is better placed on your hips. Less bounce on your vest to that way. |

You do have two useful pockets at water bottle level and an additional zippered pocket on either side (laterally) just behind the water bottle pockets that will fit both gadgets. |
