Answer:	Noico RED 150 mil temperature limits are from -49 degrees F to +190 degrees Fahrenheit. In your situation, you need to use special materials designed for 900-3000 degrees F. We're sorry, but we do not carry such type of materials.

Answer:	DEI has hood liners. I have their silver one which is working great and hasn't peeled off in the 6 months I've had it on. And it cut down on engine noise a lot. It's only like $60 on amazon last I checked. Their black version is newer.

Why do cars make so much noise?

Noise inside the passenger compartment of a car comes from one of three sources:

1. Wind Noise: Noise that enters through gaps, holes, and open windows.
2. Structural Noise: Noise that is generated by vehicle mechanical systems and travels through the vehicle structure before radiating into the passenger compartment.

Now… to the low-quality stuff. Do yourself a favor and avoid asphalt-based products. If they don’t talk about “butyl rubber”, it’s because they don’t have it and their lawyers won’t let them. The problems you run into with asphalt is threefold:

1. It stinks. If you open the box and it smells bad, take it back ASAP. It’s only going to get worse when you’re in your car on a hot summer day.
2. It melts. We have dozens of examples where we helped a customer remove low quality asphalt from their car. It takes hours of work, and isn’t particularly fun.

Decide

Decide what parts of the car you want to insulate first: roof, floor, doors, trunk, firewall, or hood. Insulating each part of the vehicle has its benefits. You likely need to do a little detective work to identify the noisiest parts of your car or truck. For the best results, you’ll need to soundproof all of your vehicle’s metal surfaces. Before installing any material though, step #1 is always to expose the sheet metal. For any metal surfaces behind plastic panels or upholstery, you’ll need to research how to remove them. Be careful to avoid breaking plastic trim parts or any fasteners. Detailed step-by-step guides can be found on our website or the one of the many automotive forums.

Remove

Remove any damaged factory insulation after you’ve dismantled the interior. If the insulation is in good shape, you can choose to leave it and save yourself the trouble. Ensure all debris, rust, and waxy oils are removed from the application surface. Clean the surface with denatured alcohol and a dry, clean rag. We do not recommend using a solvent or degreaser, as they can leave behind a film that will prevent the best bond from forming. Allow the metal to dry.

Measure

Measure the cleaned surface where you want to apply your sound deadener. We recommend to start by making a pattern of an appropriate size on paper or cardboard and then transfer that to the sound deadening sheet. Taking the time to measure will give you a cleaner install and avoid wasting material. Use a sharp utility knife to trim the mat to the appropriate size. Our annealed foil constraint layer is sturdy, so we do not recommend scissors. Be careful and wear gloves. The foil edges are sharp.

Install

Hold the mat up to the metal surface of the vehicle where you’ll be applying it. Make sure you like the coverage before removing the wax paper and exposing the tacky butyl adhesive. For larger sheets, it can be easier to gradually remove the paper backing and slowly work your way across the panel. Use your hands to flatten the sheet and adhere it to the metal surface before rolling out any air pockets with a wooden hand roller. Pop any stubborn air bubbles with a pin. After you’ve smoothed out the butyl sheet with the roller, you’ve created a permanent bond that’ll stay stuck even under extreme conditions.

Sound Deadening

Make sure to thoroughly press it down to the metal surface with a roller until the special embossment on the foil is plain and smooth.

Answer:	You could put it on walls. But as for suppressing noise from a neighbor, I don't think so. It's best to use acoustical tile for rooms.

I used and adhesive from Lowes called "Power Grab" and stuck mine to a sandwich of two acoustic insulation boards with sound blocking vinyl in between. (Many thanks to the company that showed their product in a cut away view) then I glued the BXI panels to that. HOW TO INSTALL

Please carefully read a service instruction up to the end. It is important to familiarize oneself with all the details as efficiency of soundproofing doesn't just depend on material you use but mainly is a result of correct installation. Please note that incorrect installation might lead to undesirable results or no effect at all.

STEP 1

Decide what part of a car you want to insulate in first place: floor, roof, doors, trunk or firewall. Treatment of each metal part of car has its unique contribution to overall effect. With that being said, we recommend to soundproof all metal parts for maximum performance. Next, find a service manual to your particular vehicle and locate a part that explains as to how to dismantle the trimming panels. You'd have to be carefull when taking them off and avoid breaking the fixing clips. That sort of information could be also found on a relevant automotive forums.

STEP2

Remove the remains of factory insulation once trimming is dismantled. You only need to do that if the factory insulation is damaged or not properly fixed. You can leave it there if it's still in a good shape. Next step is to properly clean, dry and degrease the prospective surface. Sound deadening won't adhere properly and may not last long if applied to wet or dirty surface. Use a degreaser and dry, clean rag for this purpose. We also recommend wearing gloves and to air a room from time to time during the work. * Pre-try a degreaser on a small spot before using that on plastic or painted parts.

STEP3

Once step 2 is complete, measure the prospective surface that you are going to treat. Quick tip is to first make a template of appropriate size on a paper and then transfer it to deadening mat. That will help to place it accurately and avoid wasting a material. Use a stationary knife or construction scissors to cut a desired shape and size. Be careful and use gloves for your hands protection.

Answer:	Not only that it has SSD mounts but it is really easy to use them. They slide in and out of the case and can be locked into place. You simply slide the mount out of the case, install the SSD, then slide the mount back in and lock it. This is a really nice case.

Answer:	Thank you for your question. The main ingredient of Bmastic is butyl composition. Siless Black 50 mil 52 soft contains of 3 layers: Black aluminum foil, than Bmastic and finally, release paper.
Question:	I just noticed that you have Silver and Black material for sale? Looks like price is the same for both, what is the difference
Answer:	Thank you for your question. Both of them are absolutely the same, same 80 mil thickness, quality is the same, the only difference is color of the foil. Black one is preferred by installations which are required material to be exposed to consumer and not covered .
Question:	Can it be used uder the hood and will it hold up the the heat of the engine
Answer:	Thank you for your question. Siless Black 50 mil Sound Deadener Mat has a working temperature range from- 50 degrees to 210 degrees F. Also, for short period of time it would withheld heating of up to 375 degrees F. We won't recommend installing under hood in the engine compartment due to temperature constrains.
