You can put 4 solar panels at 100 watts each max on this MPPT charge controller. This will easily charge up two 100AJ 12V batteries. With 2000 Watts inverter, maybe add another 100 AH 12V Deep cycle AGM battery to have enough power. I plan to get a 1500 Watt Pure Sine Inverter for my 2 AGM batteries 100 AH 12V each plus 3 solar panels at 100 watts each. Don't overthink this. Too many variables on amp draw and sun strength, angle, time of year, etc. Just ball park it.

Answer:	12/6 hours is incredibly oversimplified and incorrect. The charge time will depend on the solar intensity and weather conditions including temperature of the panels, the efficiency of your charge controller and if it's PWM vs MPPT, and the charging efficiency of these batteries (which is NOT going to be 100%, but varies by battery construction and how depleted they are). So, no easy answer, but it will be noticeably longer than the 12 and 6 hour baloney people are posting.

Answer:	Assuming you intend to use an Inverter to convert 12V DC current provided by the batteries into 115V AC current, a 2000 Watt load would equate to about 16.7 Amps at 115v; this is roughly equal to 166 DC amps. To even pull that much current, you would likely need 6 to 8 of these batteries, at the bare minimum. Each hour that you plan on putting a full 2000 watt load on the batteries will require 166 amps; to preserve the longevity of your batteries, you should really only use about half of their rated capacity every cycle; so around 50 AH; so to run a load that large for ONE hour, you would need three of these batteries. Multiply three by X, where X is the number of hours you need to run the load for; that is the base number of these batteries you will need. You should also consider the cabling you will require to hook these batteries up, which for a load that large must be either 1/0 or 3/0 AWG. For such a large load, you would probably do better to buy some large 250 - 300+ amp hour flooded lead acid batteries in a quantity that would be appropriate.

Additionally most devices will shut down at 10.5 volts which is 50% discharge such as inverters so that they do not destroy the battery.

Answer:	Nuts n bolts with washers both flat and lock. Blots can be changed out for longer ones if needed. Great for terminal connectors, definitely not traditional car battery post connectors

Answer:	This is a deep cycle battery, 100Ah (10-hr rating), and though I can't answer your question, I will suggest this: If you are truly interested in cranking amps then you should probably be looking at a different type of battery. Something like a marine dual starting/deep cycle battery (actually not a true deep cycle), or a starting battery. These will be listed by CA/CCA. Otherwise it is a fairly academic question and the reason CA/CCA are not commonly listed for a deep cycle battery. You would have to contact the seller or the manufacturer for this information. I checked and such a rating is not listed on the battery casing for this battery.
Question:	For cycle use it is supposed to be at 14v? I thought float was 13.8v and max would be
Answer:	I load tested this battery at 13.6 VDC charge and got 1,100 CCA which equates to 138 Ah using the 7.25 rule. There are several things to consider when evaluating the quality of a battery and so far I'm giving them an A+. The proof will be in how long they are able to exhibit this superior performance but I'm cautiously optimistic because the terminals are strong and well sealed and the plates must be very heavy due to the 60 pound weight.

Question:	What the max voltage this should be charged to? 12.7v? what charger do you use for agm batteries with what results
Answer:	I have mine set up in my off grid solar system. I use the commander 40 amp mppt charge controller with the mt50 tracer meter. I set the control parameters for sealed and I keep the boost charge at 14.4, and the float charge at 13.8. I don't put an equalization charge on these because renogy advised against it. I get great results with these parameters. The full state of charge is 12.8. However, you can't just charge them to 12.8, you have to go through the different phases to properly charge these batteries. If your not using a solar charge controller, you need a smart charger so you can set the charge rates for the different states of charge. I hope this helps.
Question:	where can i find the terminal studs
Answer:	Mine arrived without screws, I picked up 5/16" x 3/4" from home depot along with matching washer and lock washer. The bolt length will be the 3/4", the bolt size for the terminal screw i portion is the 5/16". You probably could go with a slightly shorter bolt too if you are only connecting one battery cable to the terminal.
Question:	i am using 17k watt power per day. how many of this battery will I be needed for my power bank
Answer:	Dividing 17 kilowatt hours (kWh) by 12 volts I get 1417 amp hours. Batteries should be discharged to a maximum of 50% to provide reasonable service life. You would need 2834 amp hours of the rated capacity at 12 volts to operate and survive a couple years of the repeated discharge cycles. You need 15 of the 200Ah batteries (or 29 100Ah batteries.) Don't forget that you will also need to have approximately 20 kWh (1700Ah @ 12 volts) per day of charging capacity to accommodate battery storage and discharge inefficiencies.
Question:	Would 2 100ah batteries be better or the same as 1 of the 200ah
Answer:	As far as capacity goes it's the same. However, 2 100 ah batteries would be better than 1 200 ah battery. This is because if anything ever happens to the 1 200 ah hour battery your screwed until you get another one. But, if anything ever happens to one of your 2 100 ah hour batteries, you at least have that second one you can run off of until you can get a new 100 ah battery. It always better to have a battery bank consisting of at least two batteries in case anything ever happens. You also have options of parallel connection or series connection for a 12 volt or 24 volt battery bank respectively. With just one battery, you get what you get.

Answer:	I am not sure how you intend to use this battery. I will tell you how I used them as it may help answer your question. I am using 4 of these on my boat to power a 3500 watt inverter for 120 VAC power. I have 2 each wired in series to produce 12 VDC. Then those are wired in parallel to the inverter. I have a smart battery charger connected to the system to keep them charged and conditioned while in port on shore power. All are fused according to the inverter load with a safety isolation switch. I have used this arrangement for one season on the water and I have never depleted them while underway for over a 24 hour periods.
Question:	I want to get 2 6v batteries and wire them in series and parallel in order to have a 12v system with double the amp hours. Is that possible? How
Answer:	To get 12volts you must wire two 6volt batteries in series. To do that, just wire the negative terminal on one battery to the positive terminal on the other. Then wire your output (whether it is to a inverter or to a 12volt load) to the positive terminal on one bettery and to the negative terminal on the other. You could increase your available current by wiring the batteries in parallel, but that would only provide a 6 volt output. That would be problematic if it is feeding a 12 volt system.

Question:	I have a 130amp alternator. will the 60amp renogy dcdc charger be too large and damage the alternator? how about at idle for up to 1 hour
Answer:	I had a 40A on my 160 amp alternator and noticed a straining noise after a few months that has since gone away after removal of the Renogy. Alt. runs at about 50% when idle, so it would theoretically cover it, but you're not leaving much left for the vehicle systems. I would step down to a 40 or even a 20.
Question:	At 40A, I'll have to run the engine for 2.5 hours to charge a 100 amp hour battery (from completely drained). Correct
Answer:	In principle yes, however, it will probably take twice that long for a "full charge." From the discharged state it will charge at 40 amps but it will reduce the charge rate for best charging and battery life. You don't want to run from full to empty and back every day. I have your configuration (100 amp hour battery and 40 amp charger). I drive 40 miles every day and it is enough to charge the battery for my CPAP and other medical devices for the night.
Question:	What size alternator do you need for this to work
Answer:	I use the 40A version on my Chevy Express with 145 amp alternator. It works fine so long as you're not over-taxing your alternator by trying to heavily charge your engin battery or run full accessories in low speed or idle conditions. For that reason I installed an "ON/OFF" switch in line so I can leave it off at the start of driving to give the alternator time to top out my engine battery. Then, I can switch it on and charge my rv lithium batteries at 40 amps. No problems doing it this way.

Answer:	The D+ wire is a + voltage sensor to turn on the DC to DC Charger only when engine is running. The D+ wire gets hooked up to the fuse panel's ACCESSORY fuse slot, where Accessories only gets +12VDC when engine is running. Use an ATC Fuse Tap with crimp type "blue" butt connector connected to the D+ wire, insert 2 of the same Amp fuses into the 2 fuse tap slots required for your vehicle's Accessories. Although the D+ wire draws no current, it detects when a + voltage is present, the fuses protects vehicle's Accessories. It works.

Answer:	Mine does not appear to support simultaneous charging of the watch and device. I tried this last night when I got it and woke up the next morning to find both devices uncharged. Unless mine is defective I’d say no.
