Answer:	I have owned this vacuum in the 18v version for 10yrs in my construction buisness and just bought this 20v for my new truck. I have change the filter twice with a new one and have cleaned it an blown it out and blew out the gills with a air suppl at low pressure probably 1000 times. Do not use this vacum to pick up wet things at all. It will do it np, but whatever you put into it stays in it till you clean it out. Answer:	I lost mine, but it did not dry out in the few months I had it. I had a similar product (different brand) for many years, and it never dried out. Keep in mind this provides very little shine, and doe snot replace polish.

Question:	Does 3m 06068 leave anything on the paint surface that would interfere with a ceramic sealer from properly bonding to the paint
Answer:	Please do not follow the instructions others have posted. I am a licensed esthetician. 1. There is no need for alcohol! 2. Before applying a peel, please be sure to wash your face thoroughly, then apply an occlusive product around your eyes, corner of nose and any other areas that might have telangiectasias or red veins. 3. Peels should only stay on for 3 minutes tops! They must be neutralized afterwards. Try to find a post peel neutralizer. Do NOT wash your face!! Water reactivates the peel, as does sweat. I would recommend applying the peel in the evening. You can wash your face in the morning. Use a calming face wash. Tea tree is the best. Do not use a cleanser with an acid in it. This too will reactivate the peel. Apply an oil, avocado, emu, calming (any of these are good) to keep your skin plenty hydrated. Also use moisturizer and lots of sunscreen! I hope this helps. And please be careful.

Question:	will this product work on sapphire crystals on wristwatches
Answer:	Part 2) I can also promise one thing, that when you think you have the toons polished to as “mirror” finish as they’re going to get, hand wash your wool pad again, and this time, use something like Flitz or really any decent aluminum or Chrome polish, and hit it one last time, and TAKE YOUR TIME!! The more time you spend on polishing the toons, the more like chrome they will turn out.... Keep in mind, no one sees the Inside of the Pontoons except the first 5-7 feet, also, no one cares if the toons are polished underwater, or the top of the toons that the deck sits on, so I only polished about 8-10” below the waterline. I always still acid/aluminum cleaned or stripped the entire pontoon logs, but only polished what anyone will see.... One last little Tip from experience, if you have access to, or know someone who has access to and the tools to do it, once your pontoon logs are at the finish you want, use Perfect-it one more time BY HAND, only to strip off any wax or grease, and have a buddy or yourself add a heavy CLEAR-coat to the logs, they’ll be SO much easier to KEEP clean, the aluminum won’t oxidize or turn colors, and the polish will last THAT much longer preserving your hard and extremely labor intensive work that much longer!! Answer:	Great! Speed of the polisher is paramount! Hold the speed to 1800 rpm. I was very pleased with the results on my boat. Don't cook it! RKS

Answer:	This product is for machine use, it is the second stage of the 3 stages to be use. This product is to be used after wet sand with 1200 or 1500 sand paper. For using it by hand (not recommend) but if is an small area(not a fender) it work, a terry cloth for application and a micro fiber cloth for cleaning is great. For a better finish it use good to use the stage 3 after this step, or wet sand area to be polish with 2000 grid and use stage 3 product instead that stage 2.
Question:	Did this remove light acid etching to the doors you were installing, or marks to already etched glass
Answer:	This Perfect it worked well for me. I had black fuel spots on the back of my motorhome. Nothing would take them off. I used this with a machine buffer(Dewalt). It came out like new. Then a couple of coats of marine wax on the top and good to go.

Question:	Is each pad clearly marked which one to use for each compound? Is it really that important to use the right one? How long do they last
Answer:	I used two types of tape. First, one layer of painters tape. Second, a layer of aluminum foil tape (ASIN: B000BQRBB4). I made sure the foil tape only when on areas first covered by the painters tape. Worked great, I did not sand through the tape to the paint. In one place I got close but the spot was bright blue (painters tape) so I knew to calm down.
Question:	Can I get the pads in 6” or
Answer:	Actually, that was exactly how I did mine. I was a little freaked out because I was afraid if this doesn't work I might just screw up both headlights at the same time. Making my vehicle unusable (at night) until I was able to fix it, but I didn't need to worry. The kit work wonderfully, although until you get to the last step and use the polish you can't really tell how things are working. Other than the fact that all of the steps seemed to be progressing just as others had said with the lights getting more hazy as you work. As I also said I only wish there were more of the rougher sand paper in the kit. My headlights are quite large (Volvo XC90) and the 3 pieces of sandpaper (per light) didn't completely do the job. If you have large headlights and if they are hazy (which if you are thinking of using one of these kits they must be) I would think about maybe getting one kit for each headlight or possibly purchase extra sandpaper on you own to start with (something like P600) then once you have the major 'crud' removed start with the kit and progress thru the stages.
Question:	How many buffing pads is included with this pack
Answer:	If your headlight lenses are moderately hazed, this kit is enough to do on car with enough polishing compound to touch up your taillights too. If your lenses are badly hazed/discolored, you should sand them first with 320-400 grit or you will probably run out of discs.
Question:	do these pads have the velco on the back to use with the backer pad
Answer:	I used tha year ago, just redid them this month. With just this kit, I would suggest 6-12 months, but I’m sure you can stretch it to 18+ and still be better than before you started. Two things would improve it: 1. A UV protectant, such as the one in 3Ms more expensive version of this, or a UV clear coat paint. 2. Buying some 3” wet sanding discs in 5000 and 7000 grit. Maybe even a 10,000 grit. I just redid mine after a year, but they were only mildly “foggy” with a very faint hint of yellowing, so I started with the 3000 grit this kit includes (skipped all the lower grit since I really didn’t need to remove much of the surface), then did two passes each with 5000 grit and 7000 grit which gave a finish very close to “optically clear”, then applied the included rubbing compound. While I was happy with the results of the kit as shipped, I’m even more pleased with the results after using the finer grit papers, and I suspect it will last longer. Adding a UV protectant should make it last longer still.

Question:	do you think this will take off dried soap circles on my vette without wet sanding
Answer:	No. Cerium Oxide is too soft and breaks down too easily to polish sapphire. Polishing requires a compound that consists of particles that are as hard or harder than the surface you need to polish. Therefore, you will need Aluminum Oxide (a.k.a. sapphire) or a diamond polish to get scratches out of sapphire. However, you will need to purchase a series of grits (i.e. size of polishing particles) to remove a single scratch. The issue is that the size of the grit corresponds roughly to half of the depth (a hard thing to measure) of the scratch you need to remove. The first round is with a course grit that will introduce scratches over the entire surface of your watch face, and polishes the entire surface down to the level of the original scratch. You then proceed to finer and finer grit sizes to remove each layer of scratches until you arrive at an optically smooth surface. This process is not only difficult and time consuming, but you will need to remove the sapphire window so that you keep the face flat as you polish, and not damage the other parts of the watch. If you focus only on the area of the scratch, you will create some kind of rounded/curved surface. This glass polishing compound uses Cerium Oxide which works on glass because: 1. Glass is relatively soft (compared to other materials like sapphire, etc.) and 2. Cerium Oxide breaks down into finer grits as it is used.

Answer:	Hi Peter I've never used the product you mentioned so not able to compare the two. The 3m product has never let me down.

Answer:	The product did not work for us. A painter had scratched the glass of french doors while preparing to paint them. It may have removed the scratch somewhat, but left a blurry window.We ended up replacing the glass

Answer:	I have not noticed that it leaves anything but then I do a cloth polish wipe on the surface after the polishing so it there is, that wiping would likely take it off. I have not had issues with sealers on the paint. But I do not do that very often.

Answer:	I don't see why not, but micro grit compounding usually works better with a buffer. If you use this by hand, make sure to do very small circles. Wax on, wax off.

1. Apply with an air or electric buffer (1400-2000 Max. RPM) equipped with a 3M Perfect-It 100% Wool Compounding Pad or 3M Perfect-It Low Linting 100% Wool Compounding Pad
2. Apply a sufficient amount of material to boat surface to work a 2 foot by 2 foot area
3. Before starting machine, spread the material with a buffing pad to reduce slinging of material and clean up
4. Buff using light to medium pressure in a consistent and uniform pattern
5. Reduce pressure when material begins to dry
6. Repeat if needed

Question:	Anyone ever use it on a lacquer finish
Answer:	This compound will harden up and will be extremely hard to buff with a dewalt buffer. I returned this product because of that reason. For the water spots if you want them permanently gone I would do the wet sand. Only wet sand if you have buffing experience.

Answer:	I use both. Oribital polisher not the high speed and take it off while it’s still wet that way pulls dirt with it.
