Answer:	I know the description states under 42 but it widens to 42. Probably more. It does stink though so hold your nose

Answer:	Although I am not certain, I am confident that these cables are of a heavy enough gauge to be more than adequate to transfer power from a 5000 watt inverter. Answer:	The cables are made from twisted copper wire (there are multiple strands of copper wire instead of one large copper cable). Using multiple strands of twisted wire allows the cables to be much more flexible and easier to handle than a single large copper cable. Cables made from multiple strands of wire are also less likely to kink than a large single cable. Hopefully, this helps.

Answer:	I haven’t actually measured them but they are quite long. I would say that they are 20 feet. Definitely NOT 2 at 10 feet. I have purchased over 100 for the fleet and are quite happy with them. The bag is another story.

How to Use Jumper Cables?

• Make sure both vehicles are turned off.
• Connect one end of the red clamps to the postive (+) post of the dead battery
• Connect another end of red clamps to the positive (+) post of the good battery
• Connect one end of the black clamps to the negative (-) post if the good battery
• Connect another end of the black clamps to the frame bumper or engine block of the dead battery. DO NOT CONNECT DIRECTLY TO THE NEGATIVE (-) POST.
• Make sure clamps from one cable do not accidentally touch the clamps of the other cable.
• Start the working vehicle Wait 1-2 minutes, start the dead vehicle, and then keep thevehicle running for a few minutes for recharging the battery.
• Disconnect the cable clamps in the reverse order.

Answer:	I can't think of any reason these would not work on a 2002 blazer. Cables are cables. Some have heavier gauge wire, some are longer, but they are all just wire with clamps on the ends.

Answer:	1 gauge is more efficient than 2 gauge for any wire, that is a lower number used for a wire gauge represents a larger or thicker wire. Size of these jumper cable wires are 1 gauge and they are copper clad aluminum jumper cables. They would be basically equal to 3 gauge pure copper jumper cables. These 1 gauge copper clad aluminum jumper cables will most definitely work fine. Pure copper wire size 1 gauge translates to 00 gauge copper clad aluminum to do the same job and be basically equal to a 1 gauge pure copper jumper cable. Aluminum is fine and is lighter and less expensive than copper, but it will perform in an excellent no hastle way. You can google metals that transfer electrons better, but copper is the usual standard, silver is better but tarnishes, and is more expensive, aluminum is next for efficiency. These are excellent cables.

Shorter is better too since power decreases the longer the cable. For most folks, 12' will be fine.

Answer:	I'm not sure that option was available when I purchased mine. If you click on the link at the top which includes the EVA case, you can see a photo of it (and click on the photos at the left.) So instead of the nylon drawstring bag, you can get the upgraded zippered case for the cables instead. Note that the cables are easy to fit in to the drawstring bag. Having not seen the zippered case, I can't say anything about it.

Answer:	Maximum Amps rated for the cable. 8 Gauge Cable rated up to 400 Amps (at 12V DC that's 4,800 Watts). A 1000 Amp cable would be MUCH thicker (probably 0 gauge wire) and would be good for up to 12,000 Watts which is a LOT of Power! 1000 Amp Jumper Cables probably come with protective gloves, goggles, etc. as that is very high power.

Answer:	Cabies are together so to make it easier to carry and make connections. The clamps are red and black: 2 red, 2 black. If you want to separate the wires so that you have one separate 20 ft red cable, and one separate 20ft black cable, just pull them apart. The joined black cable and joined red cable are 20ft.

Answer:	The jaws are copper not plated, but even jaws that are not copper, but copper clad aluminum jaws, there would be no problem. What can be judged critical is the fact the wires are pure copper and the correct gauge/size, and not copper clad aluminum wires of an insufficient gauge-thickness.
Question:	I have seen other jumper cables that were 4 guage and 25' rated higher than 300 amps. So why are these rated at only 300 amps
Answer:	Beware of today's gauge sizes like this one, china wire includes rubber jacket measuring its size sold in milimeter diameter, as 10mm, 12mm.. It can be much larger than 2 or 4 AWG with only 12 AWG inside unlike USA AWG that is measure wire itself. Many like these are calling their wire 2,4,6 gauge size wire. Get it, watch for it 4 gauge "Size"? AWG size is never mentioned even.. Today these companies don't simply lie to us advertising complete wire "size" including the rubber cover not actually sold by its true "AWG Gauge" of the internal wire as it's the way metric wire is truly sold. We are supposed to just get screwed over I guess? By not actually selling true #4 AWG Gauge wire in this that's why these only carry 300 amps at best and are SOOO CHEAP, get what you pay for..lol fwiw: My "true" 4 AWG gauge 20ft cables carry 600 amp, weigh near 13 pnds. The best way to know if it's true gauge is look at weight of cables but many hide it or intentionally misprint it at .5 ounces or something more ignorant? These may be real copper but at only half the gauge is why half the amps so you'll freeze your arse off anyway waiting to charge a dead bat...Look' a set of "True" 4 Gauge 20ft cables here..See price for a real 4 gauge copper set.. Forney 52867 Real 4 Ga copper is not cheap....TOPDC are still lying about gauge like most others imo by not posting cross referenced US AWG specs, so what, it's real copper in it but flowing only 300 amp it's about 8 ga wire at best inside maybe 10 like dollar store is, but' heavy duty rubber so it's more heavy. Not like true USA AWG #4 weighs... Watch for real copper by weight or look for USA #4 AWG gauge welding cable" pick that up and put parrot cables on them..True 600 amp cables then... 4 gauge running 300 amp lmao...NOT!
