Answer:	Yes, Waterproof. It’s a perfect set for calligraphy lovers! Their works can be last for a long time without fading.
Question:	Is the ink refillable
Answer:	I don’t see why these brushes wouldn’t work for Suminagahsi. They’re surprisingly decent brushes for the price, a really great array of sizes, have nice tips to them and hold a fair amount of liquid. Haven’t had any hairs drop into my paintings. I’ve done the marbling technique but that was before I bought these particular brushes. Are you using Suminagshai inks? When using those inks I just used basic watercolor brushes and they achieved the patterns I was looking for. So there’s no reason these shouldn’t work for you. Good luck.

Answer:	I’ve never used chalk paint, but they are good value for the money and if chalk paint is liquid , I think it would apply well.

HOW TO USE?



a. Please remove the nib already installed in the quil pen by gently pulling it out.



b. Dip a soft toothbrush in water to moisten it. Squeeze a little bit of toothpaste/dish detergent onto the brush.

I would call Amazon if you have a warranty on it if you don't have a warranty on it you might be in trouble. personally I put a three year warranty on everything even if it is just a cheap children's toy because then I know if anything happens to it I'm covered in Amazon will automatically replace it free of charge if anything happens.

Inserting the ink cartridge

Step 1: To insert your ink cartridge, gently unscrew the black nib of the calligraphy pen and put the cartridge (smaller opening end first) into the opening.

Step 2: Hold the inserted ink cartridge against a strong surface, such as a table top, and press down firmly on the pen to force the cartridge to click into place. You will hear a click when the back of the pen nib pierces the cartridge.

Step 3: Screw the nib back onto the pen and place the calligraphy pen upright for a minute or two, prior to use. Then gently press it onto a scrap piece of paper to start the ink flow – it should only take a couple of strokes for the ink to start flowing. You’re now ready to start writing!

Using your pen

To keep the ink flowing smoothly, always hold your pen so that the nib is angled between 30° and 45° to the paper (calligraphy pens are not designed to be used in the same way as stationery pens).

Note: Medium and broad nibs are a great choice for beginners because they give you more control.

· To keep your nibs in good condition, always clean and return them to the box after each session.

· Wash the nib under lukewarm water after extended use and dry carefully with a soft cloth. Do not allow ink to dry on the nib as this will stop it from flowing. Once clean and dry, replace the cap.

Question:	What is the pen's metal casing like, is it durable
Answer:	I have a black color pen and use it daily. Over time, the color coating will wear off (in small batches and especially around the area where the cap closes at the body), and reveals a bronze-like color beneath. At other scratched areas at the top of the cap, the underlying color is a metallic gray. But it still looks nice and I continue to use as one of my many daily carries.
