Answer:	Lip is about one half inch and rounded. I would never use this pan with more than a coating of oil. Using more could cause a spill and fire.
Question:	I like to make small personal pizzas, will this work instead of the 14" pizza pan which is too big
Answer:	It is excellent for this purpose, but you should also consider the Lodge pizza griddle. I preheat to 500, insert my pizza on a pizza screen and then slide off onto the cast iron after 4-5 minutes. I lightly oil the screen but not the pan. The 14" griddle is a terrific pan for many purposes, and it retains higher heat even if you're only using a small part of the surface. Some people use it as a "pizza stone." I use both these pans very frequently.

Answer:	It works.... but you've got to really watch it ... The cast Iron ware I use (1 vintage wagner bought at a yard sale, and 2 new lodge products) gets too hot and in turn heats the induction plate so high it turns off... I have a salton portable cook top from costco (similar to ASIN:B00FAD57SC Salton Induction Cooker Energy efficiency 300W-1800W, 140F-465F)

Question:	I can't figure out the difference between this and the Victoria IMUSA
Answer:	This one is authentic Victoria brand, made in Columbia. The IMUSA is IMUSA brand, and the model is named "Victoria." There are probably other differences, since the IMUSA seems to be a knock off of this press.
Question:	I saw in a review for the Victoria IMUSA that the handle was not cast iron and snapped in half. Is this handle cast iron
Answer:	My handle was cast iron, and it snapped right at the contact point between the handle and the plate. I was adding a lot of pressure to the handle because I wanted to make the tortilla thinner. Now I know to only use the press to get the basic shape, then use a rolling pin to thin it out further. Lesson learned.
Question:	Can you adjust the thickness of the tortilla? I want to try to make masa boats, huaraches and maybe even papusa which are thick masa
Answer:	No, you can not. If you want the thickness uniform, the thickness is determined by the hinge, which is not adjustable. To my taste, it is much too thick for tortillas. I get about 1/8" thick. I need to add a flat shim to make thinner tortillas. I am now using about 15 sheets of notebook paper. So, if you want thick, this will do it. If you want thin, you'll have to find a way to modify the press. Of course, if you want wedge shaped tortillas, thick on one side and thin on the other, just press the handle fully down.

Answer:	This is not a tortilla cooker - it is a tortilla press. It squishes the dough and makes it be a tortilla. THEN you have to cook it in a fry pan ....on your glass top stove.

They sometimes have a yellow tint and sometimes are grey color from the factory as you can see from the pictures. Answer:	I don't know. I have never tried. I use it to make whole wheat chapati (Indian flatbread). The shape usually comes out reasonably roundish but it is much thicker than if I were to roll by hand. I am still trying to experiment with the water to flour ratio.
