Question:	I'm not familiar with silicone ice trays. Are they sturdy? Or are they very flexible and easy to twist and bend
Answer:	They are sturdy in the sense that they can maintain their shape when filled with water and held by one end, but also very easy to twist and deform in order to effortlessly remove ice cubes. I've found the best way to remove the cubes is to invert the tray over the desired container and push them out individually from the bottom of the tray, as the silicon easily allows you to do so.

Answer:	Same issue. Apparently, this is an issue with silicone trays - the material is more porous than plastic or stainless and collects this crap. This has nothing to do with the water you're using. I happen to use filtered water and still get this result. The nature of the material used in the tray collects this stuff, which in turn makes your cubes taste absolutely disgusting.

Answer:	If the temperature is low enough I would think so. I have never tried it and you may need to spray the mold to get the wax to release with an oil. I think the melted wax would set without a problem just make sure also to let the wax become completely solid before trying to remove them.
