(In other words, an open box item.) I have had some great luck with refurbs. But... I have also had some BIG disappointments. I bought a “renewed” Kindle that the prior customer didn’t bother to “deregister”. (In other words, the other customer didn’t follow the instructions on how to prepare a Kindle for return.) After more than 6 hours over several days with multiple customer service reps & tech support people, it was became obvious that there was no way to register the product. (Wiping the memory DOES NOT wipe the prior registration. This is an anti-theft protection.) Amazon gave up & offered to replace it with ANOTHER REFURB. Well, the problem was I had bought it during a big sale, and that sale price was no longer available. (Oh, by the way, I discovered that there were several customers who received refurbs that had not been deregistered by the prior owner.) By accepting a replacement refurb I was running the risk of receiving another Kindle with the same issue! I opted to buy a new Kindle. I should have bought a new one to begin with. By the time I bought the new Kindle the sale was over so I was not only stuck buying the higher priced new item - I was stuck paying full MSRP. I was not a happy camper. Anyway - let this serve as a cautionary tale to others. |

| Answer: | Comes with a Limited warranty & agreement for refurbished products in the original box with controller, power cord, and limited time Xbox Game pass & Xbox Gold. Ours did not work and kept on turning off, emailed vendor, no response. We took it in to a Microsoft store and it was replaced with a new Xbox One X limited addition. The tech was impressed and surprised by the warranty and the unit was replaced with a new machine not a refurb. |

The only thing that has pissed me off is, while transferring all my downloaded games to the new console, Xbox has informed me that “I don’t own these games anymore since I transferred them to a new console” WTF! I even sent them a bank statement as proof that I did indeed buy these games. But no, they want me to rebuy all of them. So morale is, if this is your first console it’s great, no more clutter with game disc’s. If you plan to transfer anything you’ve bought, STAY AWAY. |
