Answer:	CHARGER DOESN'T STOP WHEN THE BATTERY PACKS ARE FULL! The most likely reason reviewers here complain their batteries didn't last long is that they did not use them "properly." There are no instructions so it's easy for them not to know. Note these are NiMH (and not Lithium, like MS's OEMs, or NiCd) batteries wrapped together. NiMHs often exhibit a memory problem. When you first get these, you should fully charge (for 7 hours) before using them. The real problem is not the batteries but the dumb charger - it simply charges both packs for seven hours and stops. If you use one pack and put it back in, BOTH will be charged for another seven hours. So, duh, don't do this. This seems designed for use with one controller where you use a battery until the console complains of low battery. Then, exchange the packs so that there's only one battery at a time in the charger. If used this way, the batteries should last for 11 hours of gaming and then require / get a 7 hour trickle charge for like 700 chargings. If you use a battery pack for say an hour and then return it to the dumb charger it comes with - it (both) will be overcharged (for seven hours), shortening the capacity and/or cycle life of all the batteries. You could instead buy four Energizer Rechargeable NiMH AA Batteries (2000 mAh) or better four Bonais (2800mAh) for $9 and get a smart AA charger such as a UTHCracy for $8 and spend only $17 instead of $23 for this setup with fewer issues. That is what I wished I had done. I did not consider this would ship without a smart charger at this price. Or, they might have dropped their battery packs. NiMHs easily damage internally. NiMHs maintain 1.2 volts while say alkaline batteries start at 1.5 volts and drop to less than 1 volt so the voltage difference doesn't matter. And, the included charger should not be used for non-NiMH batteries. Do not throw these battery packs out - recycle (drop off at electronics or battery store).
