Answer:	I bought the 10 ft for a boy's birthday party game. There were 7 boys and the chute had 10 handles, so that was fine. It is durable, the boys really pulled and shook it. I had a few blow-up beach balls (small) that I threw into the center for the game and it was a lot of fun. I think the 8 ft would be plenty big for a nursing home, depending on the space you have to work in and whether or not the participants must be seated. If they have to sit, consider getting the larger one.
