Question:	What size batteries and how many
Answer:	From what I recall, the arrows are about 18". I purchased the Maxx Action brand replacement arrows which are stated to be over 16" and were about an inch shorter than the original arrows that came with the bow set. The plastic tip on the original arrows are just a little larger in diameter but the my grandson likes the Maxx arrows better. Just another note: use a permanent marker on the bow string so that the child knows where best to position the arrow nock on the bow string for better accuracy.
