Answer:	It is loud enough. I would suggest putting it in somewhere to muffel the sound. We put it in a coworkers filing cabinet at work. The little speaker magnet was perfect to stick it to the top inside the filing cabinet. It was great watching the coworker spend the entire day looking for it!
