Answer:	Living in the country with a barn too , I'd say thats a great idea. Wish I had a guest room in the barn. In a stall inside the barn is a perfect place for this port a potty so ladies dont hafta go outside in middle of nite or 1st thing in morn. If it works good inside my house will work gr8 in the barn.
Question:	I am converting a shed into living space. Could I use this vs. installing a septic system
Answer:	A composting toilets is $1000. This is $70. I lived in my Airstream and this was my toilet.( Only #1 went in the holding tank for #2 put a grocery sack over the bowl ) I used it probably 5 times a day. After three months the rubber gasket got worn out on the flusher. Rigged it for a month .the remaining 5 months I just used my shower head sprayer which was a foot away. I am now ordering #2. I can buy this 14 times for the cost of a composting toilet..that plus my #2 go in the trash every day usually within 10 minutes of the bootycakes arrival..they don't compost inside my tiny space

Answer:	You can as long as it is not overloaded with toilet paper & other solids.
Question:	How much water per flush is recommended? How many days of one person using it for mostly "solids" would it work for
Answer:	Well this unit holds about 5 gallons of water, each flush is less then quater of gallon depending how many times you pump to dispose the waste. 1 to 3 flushes should do it. It has a decent pressure, not like a real toilet but enough to clean the bowl. I took it with me camping and I had three females ranging from 7 and 34 years, of age. Believe it or not I only had to dispose the waste every two to three days depending on use.

The Flush Tank

Answer:	I use my hitch alignment kit with a pick up truck, and they work really well. I would think that they would work for you with a van with a double rear window, they extend up quite a ways so I would think you could use these. I makes hooking up a trailer really easy for me.

Answer:	Not sure what type of canopy you're referring to but if you can't see out your back window then no you would not be able to see the ball.

Answer:	Just the wand will shorten to approximately 8.25". Total length when shortened is approximately 9.4".

Answer:	You should be able to see the balls align from inside a SUV. Our pick-up has a shell on it and we can see them just fine through the back window.

Question:	Do I need any special ear muffs?The one I have only has one hose attachment
Answer:	We used the type that feeds water to both sides and found that holding them together with a bunggie cord/strap wrapped around them to keep them tight to the leg worked best. P.S. It took a long time for the thermostat to open allowing a full flow of water. We kept feeling the water temp to make sure that the thermostat was open. We then turned the water valve off and the RV antifreeze valve open. When there was about 1/8th to 1/4 0f the antifreeze left we fogged the engine until it stalled out. Question:	I bought the boat winterizing kit. The tank has a hole in it. Can I buy just the tank
Answer:	Goop is good for sealing flexible things like that. A fresh tube thats not too thick is easier than old one.
Question:	How long is the clear plastic hose that is included in the kit
Answer:	The clear plastic hose (with water hose fittings) on the kit I purchased is 8 feet 3 inches long. Hope that helps.
Question:	Do I still have to remove and replace the drain plugs in my Mercruiser 350 MPI prior to flushing for winterization or does this eliminate that step
Answer:	If you follow instructions closely, you shouldn't have to remove drain plugs. You are supposed to run on muffs until the engine is up to temp and the T-Stat is opened up, then turn on the pink stuff and let it flow through COMPLETELY. I go past the point of just seeing antifreeze come out the exhaust, I dump the whole tank in since I will have to toss it anyway. If you don't do these steps completely, you could leave pockets of water in the system that freeze. Draining first would be added insurance against making a costly mistake. I prefer this method over draining alone because it's going to catch things gravity doesn't and residual water will at least mix with AF if it doesn't get completely blown out.

Answer:	The two square bumps on the lid are not buttons, they are vents. They are not completely closed off--there are slots on the side (which you can see in the photos.) Yes, these allow for venting of gasses that Lead Acid batteries produce. I have two of these boxes on the tongue of my travel trailer. and have worked well for 5 years--still in perfect shape.
Question:	can cables be connected through the box or only with the lid off
Answer:	There are small ports that the battery cables run through no problem. The ports face downward to avoid water and debris from getting in the box.

Answer:	The base, the cup or whatever sits on, is 3-1/2" square even with the adjustable arms folded down. The adjustable arms are 2-1/8" closed and 3-3/4" wide when opened all the way, however the depth of the adjustable holder arms are about 3" from where they ratchet. My 3-1/4" coffee cup fits in the holder with a little friction. I lift it straight up and down to clear the adjustable arms. My coffee cup is the same diameter at the top as the bottom. A canned soft drink in a koozy cup holder fits fine with room to spare, about 1/2" from the adjustable arms when fully opened. You can always fold the adjustable arms down and sit your cup on the bottom flip-down shelf.

Answer:	Yes.
Question:	is the female pipe end the water inlet port or can any port be used as the water inlet port
Answer:	The female port is called the common port and is labelled with a "C". If your intended use is to divert from one port to either of the other two, the intended application, then you must use the female as the inlet. However, the valve could be used in a reverse application where both male ports are used as inlets, and the female becomes the outlet. For example one male could be connected to a cold water supply, and the other male could be connected to a hot water supply. Handle in one position sends cold to the female port, while in the other position it sends hot. It would not be a good mixer valve since one male is nearly closed before the other starts to open. The common port is never closed. Each of the male ports are alternately closed depending on handle position.

Answer:	Works fine on my Artis pump. No tools, didn't even use the Teflon tape since each connection had seals. Hand tightened with no leaks. Took a vinyl end cap and plugged the siphon hose end. Good to go for next season.

Winterize your boat or RV easier

Make winterizing easier year after year with Camco’s Pump Converter Winterizing Kit. This kit is a permanent installation that allows you to bypass your fresh water supply line and use your boat or RV’s water pump to fill the fresh water lines with antifreeze. Every piece is made of high quality material built to last a lifetime. The kit includes all parts necessary to bypass the fresh water supply line. Some tools needed for installation.

To begin the process of installing the Pump Converter Kit, disconnect the incoming fresh water suction line from the pump. Attach the 3-way valve to the suction opening on the pump, and use the enclosed female/female adapter if necessary. When tightening, do not grasp the valve handle with a wrench, as damage to the valve’s inner seal may result. Then, connect the water line to the other end of the 3-way valve. Turn handle to “open” position for normal operation and check for leaks.

When you’re ready to winterize your RV or boat’s fresh water system, drain all water from your system, including the holding tank and hot water heater. Follow your manufacturer’s directions for this step. Then, remove the cap from the 3-way valve and attach the clear vinyl hose to the 3-way valve and tighten by hand. Place the other end of the hose into a gallon of Camco’s fresh water system antifreeze. Turn the handle on the valve to the “by-pass” position. You may want to use a Camco Water Heater By-Pass Kit to avoid filling your water heater with antifreeze. Turn on each faucet one at a time and allow pure antifreeze to flow through. Let about one cup flow into the drain to protect traps. Finally, when all the antifreeze is drawn from the bottle, turn off the pump, remove the clear vinyl hose from the valve, replace the cap and turn the handle to “open” position.

Question:	Suggested to buy more chemicals for waste tank but what kind for small unit
Answer:	Considering the drop-ins (packets) are made for a 40 gallon holding tank - not a 5 gallon holding tank it's ridiculous to use those in any 5gal toilet. I use the liquid. I pour in about 1 ounce of the TST liquid because the on the back of the bottle it says 4 oz per 40 gallons. So it would be 1 ounce per 10 gallons. So technically all you need is 1/2 ounce per 5 gal. :)
Question:	Please tell me how to process the POO
Answer:	Hey Woo, you should have put water in the holding tank prior to use. If so you should be able to dump the waste and water out at a waste station. Please give us a call at 800-334-2004 if we can help further.
Question:	Premium vs. Standard, pros and cons
Answer:	Premium has a pump flush which cleans a little better by having 2 jets to clean bowl vs. 1. It has a spout that is suppose to make it easier to empty when full but it's just a gimmick. I like the standard poor hole which can't break or leak as easily. Overall, I think I would have picked the Premium because I like the flush pump better then putting all your weight on the round plastic flush coil. Not bad just less efficient. Either is good but for a few bucks more get the premium or go with one that has the electric flush button. That works more easily and its cool.
Question:	Can i be confident transporting this while full in an suv that it won't spill sewage into the interior
Answer:	Just recently I was driving down a hill, with my toilet in the back of my van, a car in front of me slammed on their brakes causing me to slam on mine. Everything from the back of my van came flying to the front, I looked back and saw that my toilet was upside down. I was horrified. When I got a chance to pull over I went back and was relieved to discover that nothing leaked out of the sewage tank. Some water did leak out of the top part where you store clean water to flush the toilet. I am definitely looking for away to secure the toilet better to the floor so that doesn't happen again. If I could have logged on and given the toilet 10 stars at that point I would have.

Answer:	I have a Monterey 18fs and I really like how this fits, I have tried everything before and this is the only product that has worked for me. I can tell you there are probably 4-5 feet more of strap to go, but with the platform is where I still have doubts. I’d recommend you to buy it, if it doesn’t fit, return it, it’s worth the try. Answer:	Since they go into my black water tank and apparently do not damage it. Since I am not a chemist, I have not tried to do a chemical analysis. They are convenient to use, have a fresh citrus fragrance and they subdue foul odors in our motorhome. That is why I buy them.
