Setup is about five minutes on the 14' Lunds we rent up there.After the first time, the transducer cable length is established so stuff it in the side pouch at the end of the day. The rest of the cable stays wrapped up on the hanger inside the portable unit.The unit is very stable and sits nicely on the bench in front of me, even in the bumps.I keep a Scotchbrite pad in another pouch on the unit. Scrub a spot on the transom before sticking the suction cup on.I keep some tiewraps in the side pouch. Use a tiewrap to tie off the transducer cable to something on the boat. The suction cup holds up to 20 mph... until it doesn't. Tiewrapping the cable to the boat keeps the transducer out of the prop.

Answer:	Usually people will fix the transducer on the hull of the kayak (the outside). Because the transducer can only be working when it touches the water.

Answer:	Yes it works well for ice fishing, although you must drop the transducer below the ice in order for it to read depth accurately. I also found that it has the potential to mis-detect large tube jigs as a fish, but I actually don’t mind that as it tells me how deep my bait is. I also use this with my kayak mounted with the bracket, so I get double duty. Battery life is fantastic even in below zero temps. I’ve been out with it on several outings below freezing and I’m still on the same set of batteries! I would recommend this product.

Answer:	I'am not sure about basalt rock but to give you a example it was slow braking 8" concreat but did the job.I have used it on many projects it works very well.

Answer:	If it is a steel rod, then most likely. This thing will easily break rocks. You will need some kind of driver bit to fit it. If the rod is very long it may be difficult to lift the tool above the rod to get it started.

Answer:	The crossover separates the highs and lows. You can install with out it but it won't sound very good and probably blow the tweeters quickly....and unrelated to your question. I bought these and the Renegade RX6.2C for about the same price. But the Pyle tweeters blew writhing 2 weeks. ( I am running a amplified system) but I'm only pushing about 35-40 watts rms per door. The renegade are still in and working fine. However the Pyle sounded lounder for a while. But ended up dying...

How the Wi-Fi Works?

The Start utilizes smart technology to send sonar readings directly to your smartphone via Wi-Fi. You do not need an internet connection or cellular data for the fish finder to work. Charging

Make sure your fish finder is fully charged. The Deeper Start charges in 2.5 hours and uses a USB cable that is compatible with any USB port. The battery lasts for 6 hours of continuous usage. Keep in mind that it isn’t necessary to use it continuously, unless you’re having fun scanning.

Connecting

Use the barrel swivel to securely attach the fishing line to your Start fish finder. Place it in the water and it will automatically switch on. Connect to your fish finder via your phone settings. Then, open the Deeper App (make sure it’s up-to-date) to start scanning the water.

Important: Make sure you have turned off all Wi-Fi assistance on your smartphone (e.g., “Wi-Fi Assist” on iOS) or switch off Cellular Data altogether. This will ensure an uninterrupted connection.

Casting

Once connected, you’re ready to cast out. Your Start has a connection range of 165ft. To ensure a solid connection, do not put your phone on the ground or in your pocket. We recommend using the Deeper smartphone mount for your rod.

Scanning

Once your fish finder hits the water, you’ll start to see fish and depth data on your smartphone screen. Slowly reel in the fish finder and you will see changes in depth and fish location. If you don’t see any fish icons, that means there aren’t any fish! Try another spot until you find fish.

Important : The screen will scroll from right to left even if your sonar is stationary. That’s because your fish finder is constantly sending out scanning beams.

Answer:	There is no way to put any maps on this unit but it does have storage to make your own maps. It has a mapping feature so you can map the depths of your favorite lake. The specs says it will hold 1 million acres of lake maps. Granted, you have to be on a boat and troll to do the mapping but it does work and it works rather well.
Question:	For in hull transducer mounts for a fiberglass boat, Garmin suggested putting the transducer in a container full of antifreeze. Any other methods
Answer:	I can’t speak to fiberglass as I use mine on kayak. However I do use my transducer shooting thru hull attached with duct seal that forms a reservoir around transducer and then I add water. That works perfectly! Duct seal is $3 at Lowe’s or Home Depot.

Answer:	This one has a feature where you can contour maps the bottom of any lake or river you're in.

Answer:	Don't drill holes in your boat. Find an old 3/8-1/2" plastic cutting board and cut a 4x4 piece out of it and using 3m sticky tape mount it to the transom and use short screws to mount the transducer to the piece of cutting board. Did that back in 1979 and has never come loose.

Answer:	I know from experience it can read depths as shallow as 1 foot but I don’t know the exact limitations or specs. The problem that renders this and any fish finder useless in shallow water is the amount of vegetation and its direct proximity. In shallow water with dense vegetation reaching the surface you’re most likely only going to see screen noise displayed which may effect the abilities to properly gauge water depths. If there is no vegetation and the ground is of solid structure then this will work fine in water 10’ or less.

Answer:	I am considering a release clip on the I bobber to a separate line. It won't work for casting but if you are letting it out in a current it may be neat to see the fish hit the bait. But I would hate to lose it on a fish.

Answer:	You may find it tough to troll with it if not impossible. I just use it on my Kayak while paddling and it loses total accuracy. It skips bottom detail and depth is completely inaccurate. It tends to "artifact" on the screen. Also, the 3' minimum is pretty close although at times I've wondered exactly how accurate the depth is.

Answer:	Yes. I had the Deeper first, but lost the device in a rainstorm. I decided to get the iBobber as a replacement to the Deeper. The Deepers hardware and software is much more detailed than the iBobbers. The iBobbers only has a 90 degree scan, as opposed to the Deepers 90 degree, and 120 degree scans. The Deeper shows 4 different sizes of fish, along with several types of "fish" alarms. Both offer a 15 minute sonar scan replay.Please note that both sonar bobbers require re-syncing upon each and every use. As the sonar bobbers only turn on when in the water or charging. The Deeper has quicker syncing time than that of the iBobber. If I had to buy another sonar ball, I might first look at the sonar scanners available in a RC boat package. The RC option seems much easier to get the sonar scans "where" you want them, and less water noise when casting your sonar bobbers out. Question:	Will the Ice fishing mode work in lakes with no ice? If so, would it be accurate
Answer:	Hi there, it will work for sure. Ice fishing mode is a sonar mode with ice flasher view as well as a regular sonar view, and it will work just fine even if there's no ice on the lake. You can also switch to Standard or on-shore GPS modes of the sonar, which are specifically designed for scanning open-water.
Question:	If i dont have wifi or cellular phone carrier i cannot use pro
Answer:	You do not need Internet data to use Deeper PRO/PRO+.Deeper PRO/PRO+ itself sends a WiFi signal that your smartphone picks up and pairs with a device.
Question:	How long does it take till battery is fully charged
Answer:	Haven't charged it from completely flat yet, but two hours would appear to be sufficient.
Question:	What bodies of water can i use this product
Answer:	You can use it in any body of water. You will get the most accurate readings when the depth is between 0,5m to 80m.
Question:	Please i need a trasceduser cable replacement. How much will it cost me
Answer:	Usually we didn't sell the transducer alone. If you already bought fish finder from us before, please contact us through amazon message and we will give you the offer for the transducer alone.
Question:	It works in salt water
Answer:	Yes,this Lucky fish finder can work well in salt water. It is suitable for ocean、lakes and rivers. Hope this helps.
Question:	can you mount the transistor in side the kayak
Answer:	Usually people will fix the transducer on the hull of the kayak (the outside). Because the transducer can only be working when it touches the water.
Question:	Does it work well for ice fishing
Answer:	Yes it works well for ice fishing, although you must drop the transducer below the ice in order for it to read depth accurately. I also found that it has the potential to mis-detect large tube jigs as a fish, but I actually don’t mind that as it tells me how deep my bait is. I also use this with my kayak mounted with the bracket, so I get double duty. Battery life is fantastic even in below zero temps. I’ve been out with it on several outings below freezing and I’m still on the same set of batteries! I would recommend this product.

For Kayak Fishing

1. Attach the Side-Scan Adapter to the boat hull using the mounting tabs.
2. Break though the hull of a boat. Place the fishing sonar sensor against the hull bottom 1 inch underwater.
3. The moving speed of kayak should be below 5mph.

For Ice Fishing

1. You should clear the snow on the ice layer. Make sure the surface is smooth enough. Put the LUCKY fish finder portable directly on ice layer to detect fish distribution in purpose of selecting a place to drill a hole.
2. There should be no air between the sensor and the ice and no air between ice layer and the underwater either. Otherwise, the portable fish finder will not work properly.
3. Cut a hole through the ice and put the fishing sonar sensor directly in the water. Enjoy the fishing gear

For Shore Fishing

1. Fixed the removable float on the cable.
2. Cast the fishing sonar transducer into water as far as you can.
3. You can cast the fishing sonar transducer either by your hand or by the fishing rod.
