Answer:	I used my cell phone which is an android (blu brand) and it worked although the volume was really low. I think it would work better with an ipod or mp3 player meant to play music.

My son said that when plugging that cord into your phone it produces the music through a speaker that came with it, but it is very quiet. However, it does make the lights flash to the music. He said that playing the music into the microphone allows you to hear the music better.

Answer:	I am not sure if you are asking whether or not this is a good present for a 6 year old or not. But, my son is 6 years old and he absolutely LOVES this set. His 13 year old sister actually likes playing with it as well. We are so impressed with it, that when he is complete with all of the projects, we are considering getting one of the more elaborate sets. If anyone has a 6 year old boy interested in this type of stuff, I recommend getting a set.
Question:	Should i start my almost 6 year old with this set or with the SC-300 (I have a consignment store bought one in my closet)? Does the "junior" matter
Answer:	I bought my 7 year old the jr and now wish I had opted for a bigger set. If you already have the 300, I would use that one. They sell an upgrade kit that takes the jr to a 300, so if you bought the jr and then gave the 300 to your child, you'd be duplicating half the kit.
Question:	I see mostly children ages 5-7 are getting this. Do you think a 12 yr old would appreciate this
Answer:	My kids are 10 & 12. They Love it! Plus it has upgrades to keep them happy when they get through the lesson book. Personally, I would not get this for a 5-7 yr old....it's electricity...no matter how safe they've made it.

Answer:	I bought it for my (advanced) 5 year old son. He loves it. I helped him with the first 2 projects and then after that I let him build each one and would show him if he made a mistake and how to correct it. You will definately have to explain to them what is going on though because they are too young to understand that from the manual themselves. Otherwise the parts snap together really well, the instructions aren't that hard and after each project, he likes to move parts around to see what changes.

Answer:	yes! My two 8 year old grandboys, gravitated to this kit and both became competent with 24 hours. The experimented and created their own complex circuitry. They even 'invented' some unlikely ways to use the components. For example, the red fan blade became a helicopter blade that whirled off the motor and across the room. With a little organizational control and introduction from an organized adult, they followed the rules and quickly adapted to taking turns and encouraging each other. I was very surprised and pleased by the way they accepted the challenges and commanded the concept of using and controlling the flow of e- to do work.

My kit came with a stand made from a thin sheet of metal, with part of it able to be adjusted for the height of the stand. Answer:	I would say all of them if you help them. They come with a book. You will need to show them help them, but they will pick it up if they are into it. They are very safe just snap together like a snap button. I bought my son lights snap circuits when he was 6. It’s was a hit. We then bought him kit after kit they were such a hit. He built real radios am/fm, lights sound, etc. He is now 9 and does electrical projects that a 40 yr old professional does. No joke. If your kid loves electrical go for it. The books are easy to follow. The parts r real electrical parts inside plastic snap pieces. They can see the resistor, transistors etc they r working with.

Answer:	Yes it includes the projects books but they are not involves a technical information but a brief about what you will see or hear from the project... you must have a scientific background to understand what is going on or to discribe the parts role for your students .
Question:	Can you build a fm radio
Answer:	We've just scratched the surface of its capabilities, since my kids are only 4 & 6. Haven't gotten to the computer enabled features yet. Snap Circuits Extreme and the simpler Snap Circuits Green were huge hits at elementary school science night. Great feature is that kids start by building the book's projects, but then build the confidence to create their own designs, and to test the impacts of substituting in other parts (e.g., how the sound diminishes as a stronger resistor is used). Sorry that I don't have a fuller answer to your question yet, but I can project years of enjoyment growing into this remarkable kit.

Question:	Can you use arduino web editor (online tools) or do you have to download the software
Answer:	the Snapino Module incorporates a standard UNO compatible board using the same ATMEL processor as a genuine UNO. SO anything you can do with an UNO, you can do with Snapino.
Question:	Do you need to already have an Arduino to use this kit
Answer:	No, it comes with one. But you need a computer or at least a tablet with a regular USB port, such as computers have. My 7 year old had gone through all the relevant Snap Circuits kits and we had done a little bread boarding together. For Christmas, I got him the Snapino and the UCTRONICS Arduino kit. He went through the Snapino in about 2-3 months, and we're now doing the UCtronics kit together, much more involved. He still goes back to the Snapino at times. Plus, it was a necessary transition for him. So, I recommend the Snapino, but (like most of the snap circuits) may be rather quickly outgrown. The UCtronics arduino kit will last him a very long time, and can more easily be expanded.
Question:	Can you actually upload code to this? similar to bitsbox or other arduino coding? javascript or python or which language
Answer:	Yes. The processor board is an Arduino compatible board. It is just packaged with snaps so you can conveniently build circuits using Snap Circuit components.
