Answer:	Yes. There is a button that activates the LED light that will stay on continuously until you press it again to turn it off.

Answer:	The four main species of dust mites range in size from .008 inch long to .012 inch long. Therefore, at this microscope's lowest power (60X), the smallest of these dust mites would appear as if it was nearly 1" long to the naked eye; and at 120X, the largest species would appear as if it was about 1.4" long to the naked eye. As you can see, the MM-300 is not just adequate for this purpose, it's perfect.

For Best Results:

1. Place the base of the microscope flush against a flat viewing surface
2. Ensure the LED lighting is switched on
3. Start focusing on the lowest magnification setting (60x)
4. Once you have a clear view of your subject, increase the magnification to your desired level (you may need to slightly adjust the focus again slightly)

A note on using the MicroBrite Plus in the field: Due to high magnification, the focal distance of the MicroBrite Plus is very short (maximum of 2mm past the acrylic base). It is not possible to focus on subjects beyond this focal distance. Looking at larger, three dimensional objects or objects that are not on a flat surface takes practice and a steady hand, especially since small movements are exaggerated with higher magnification. This is why we recommend viewing flatter objects on a flat surface, especially when first using this microscope.

Answer:	No - only HDMI output. The USB port is for the mouse. Disappointed in the fact that the point of autofocus cannot be changed - it is either a big field or a small field, but nothing in between. No directions come with the unit and no future help according to AmScope.

Answer:	Approx 12' from either end, or 6' in between

Answer:	If you just press and release the button for the light it should stay on. That is the on/off switch.
Question:	If the image is reversed, how can this be useful for coin examination
Answer:	Thank you for your inquiry. Microscopes are good for determining authenticity, looking for small scratches, pockets of certain metals, and other defects and irregularities that are not visible to the naked eye. For simply reading the text on smaller coins, we would recommend a standing loupe like those in our LumiLoupe series or our new VersaLoupe magnifiers.
Question:	How does the mm-450 optics quality compare to the carson mm-200 micromax, e.g. aberration and distortion
Answer:	While the MM-450 does have a lower magnification than the MM-200, it has an aspheric lens system, giving it a sharp, clear and distortion-free image.

Answer:	I have Purchased 3 Carson microscopes 20-40x - light button must be held down to turn on - purchased for my grandson 40-60x - light has on off switch 60-120x - light has on off switch first I purchase the 60-120x to exam varroa mites in my bee hives. The magnification is so strong on 60x, the mites filled the viewer Both smaller units work great for looking a mites. 60-120x seems to work great to see scratches in the metal blade of a knife
