Answer:	Yes, they are the classic model style of slot cars with braids underneath to keep the connection to the track. They come on an easily removable braid plate for easy replacement when they become worn down.

Answer:	The amount and type of track pieces would be a factor but you should also compare the level of detail on the cars of various sets. I bought the le mans and an F1 set, both with identical track pieces and same price. Now I have much more track than the 2x sets and extra transformer, cars, etc.

• Extremely robust super resistant cars have a one piece body shell design. Built to last using highly durable materials and tough enough to withstand full impact racing. Magnets located in the chassis provide extra downforce to keep the car on the track when racing at high speeds. Cars are compatible with other 1:64 scale tracks as well.
• Newly designed power level controllers are light weight and ergonomically designed to fit perfectly into a child's hand as well as an adult's. The power control switch allows to slow the speed down by 25%, 50%, 75% so younger children won't fly off around corners at high speeds and can slowly adjust as they improve their racing skills.

Answer:	No there aren't expansion tracks. But if you wanted to make the set larger you can buy another set and put them together to make a larger track.
