Question: | Is the G string a wound string or a wire string |
Answer: | WRONG WRONG WRONG....DO NOT BUY...YOU WILL GET ONLY 1 PACK If something seems too good to be true it usually is. |
Question: | could these be used on any other guitar |
Answer: | Pink Ernie Ball Strings are 9 - 42 gauge (it is the lightest gauge electric string they offer). Green Ernie Ball Strings are 10 - 46 gauge. |
Question: | Do these have the silk wrap at the ball end? thanks |
Answer: | Probably figured it out already, but 10-62 is a 7 string set. Standard tuning is B. You’re probably fine in either drop A, dropAb, or drop G.... lower than that you’re going to have to have a really light touch to deal with the lack of tension |

Answer: | It is a complete 6 string set. At least from me... Jason FretNation |

User questions & answers
Question: | can u put strap on it |
Answer: | Yes, and No. Yes, because they are lighter gauge set of strings. .009 on top, .042 on bottom. This makes it easier on your fingers. Easier to fret, easier to bend, doesn’t hurt as much, you can play longer, until you build up your finger tips. Some players stick with lighter strings. It’s a preference thing. BB King - very light strings. Slash uses 11s. Etc. These are of good quality and have a great tone. No, if your guitar had larger gauge strings, and was properly set up, the lower tension on the neck could cause a back now, depending on how strong the neck is, and how much relief was there to start. If you feel comfortable in adjusting your truss rod, go for it. There’s much, so much more to making the guitar play easier than just the strings, and a lot of it is personal preference. I like a straight neck with practically no relief with 3/64 and 4.5/64 String height on the 12th fret high and low e respectively. I like my nut slot about 0.010 higher than my frets. My Les Paul plays beautifully, for me, with that set up. I have one with these 9-42 strings, and another set up with 10-46. With a good setup, they play almost the same. The 9 string feels a lot smaller, and thus sharper. It is also MUCH more prone to breakage and very difficult to reuse if removed. You will likely break a 9 so order extras. You can buy individual strings. Keep in mind the frets need to be level with a nice crown or it will have problems. I suggest having a tech do the initial setup, only because of the nut slotting. He can make the nut work for 10s and 9s or 10s will work fine. If you cut too deep, it’s... well, building a new nut or baking soda and CA glue is a lot more than turning a nut back the other direction to put it back the way it was. If the low e buzzes a little when you play it hard, don’t play it so hard. That’s actually normal. Some raise the action a bunch, but that’s not necessary. Especially in your case with that bridge. You raise the low e, you raise them all. Hope that helps. |
Question: | What is the difference between this one and the $1000 one |
Answer: | Yes, they offer 9s and 10s. |
Question: | which is the difference between the gd30ce and gd51ce ? , which is better |
Answer: | 6 sets |
Question: | Is this made in Japan |
Answer: | This listing is for 10 individual packs of strings, and then 2 more packs are added for a total of 12. Thanks for your interest. Y2PLAY Stores 1-800-695-4808 |

Answer: | The G string is a wire string. It is not a wound string. |
Question: | Are the white parts white or cream colored |

Question: | Is this one pickup or 2? Also, does it come with the plastic cover |
Answer: | The Signatures are a hybrid of 9's & 10's. Meaning the fattest strings, the EAD's are from a 10's set & the skinniest GBE's are from the 9's. There are also brands that have 9.5's, which are across the board a little larger gauge than the 9's, yet smaller than 10's. What some folks don't realize, a guitar is set up for intonation for a certain set of gauge strings at standard E2,A2,D3,G3,B3,E4. The guitar may need, at the very least, nut slot, saddle height & intonation adjustments. Perhaps even a truss rod adjustment. As the guitar is exposed to humidity, these adjustments may need to happen anyway. It's safer to get the gauge string set that the guitar originally came with & was set up for to avoid that additional Luthier effort to set up & tune your guitar. How critical is being in tune ? Too much or little pressure from the tension of the strings might cause the neck pocket to crack ? Also may warp & twist the neck & fretboard ? Those are things even a Luthier makes an educated guess for when setting up the guitar. Proceed at your own risk. We all see a guitar, some realize that it's a precision instrument that requires maintenance and assessing from time to time. Most guitars come from the factory as set up. From there a music store Luthier might tweak it for the next set of strings that goes on it the same day it was bought. Strings are one of several aspects of a guitar that affect it's playability & tone. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What string gauge are on the guitar |
Answer: | The Vintage style tuners don't have a nut. The screws for the body of the tuner hold it in place. They are screwed in to the back of the headstock. I'm surprised at how good the quality is. I've bought 3 sets |
Question: | Is this a good size for a 13 yr old |
Answer: | I used these in Les Paul style guitar with a simple toggle switch, but these are 4-wire pickups so you could create some cool voicings with a 5 way switch. Each pickup has 2 outputs: one single coil, one humbucking output. So, that would take up 4 positions on the switch and you could use the middle position to mix the bridge and neck pickup. It's hard to go wrong with these pickups. They sound awesome, especially when you tap into the single coil sounds. |
Question: | how deep is the guitar body |
Answer: | cream colored |
Question: | Should I pay the guitar though bank |
Answer: | 2 5/8" L × 1 3/8" w × 1/2" or 5/8 to bracket |
Question: | are they tie acoustic strings? or are they real strings like ernie ball |
Answer: | It is a pair of pickups one neck one bridge. No it does not come with covers. |
Question: | Are the strings packed individually, in 6 pouches, or are they all packed together |
Answer: | Yes |
Question: | Are these strings compatible for a j |
Answer: | Is the $1000 one a 12-String? I bought this one about 8 months ago and have been completely satisfied and impressed with it. It holds tune better than other 12-strings I've worked with and it sounds AMAZING... If you're serious about a quality yet affordable 12-String, you won't be disappointed with this one. |
Question: | Are these okay for my b25- 12, 12 string Gibson guitar made in |
Answer: | The gd30ce has mahogany back sides vs the gd51ce has rosewood back sides. There might be a few other minor differences im not sure of. I would play them in a store and see which you like better!! |
