Although JanSport offers a lifetime manufacture's warranty the extra strain on this particular lightweight backpack may cause discomfort to the wearer. You may want to look at the JanSport City View or JanSport Big Student styles. These backpacks will easily handle a 14 - 15 inch laptop.

Answer:	It needs 3 AA Batteries. We used Lithium and after over a week of a little one saying nothing but, "Mission complete!" "To infinity and beyond!", etc, and having to pry the toy off of him for baths and sleeping (yes, he's been wearing the helmet during meals, as long as he doesn't Buzzspeak at the table) the batteries are still strong, so they don't draw much.

However , I'm not sure that its compatible to add iron on patches because the inside is lined in a rubber or plastic material to resist spills and soak through.
