Answer:	You can run this machine with flux-core wire, and it does that well, however for thin sheet metal it's better to invest in a tank of gas. Flux core leaves a nasty layer of slag that you'll constantly need to chip off, plus it has a tendency to either burn through or warp thin gauge metals if you try to run a constant bead. If you're dead set on going without the gas you can weld sheet metal by just making a series of tack welds until you eventually cover the entire joint. I personally would not want to weld sheet metal without gas, but if you have a lot of patience and you're careful, it can be done.

Answer:	Yes on a 220 volt circuit you have 3 wires 2 current carrying conductors and one ground on a 2 pole breaker. you will have to replace the 2 pole breaker wit a one pole breaker. and then use one of the 2 hot wires as a hot current carrying conductor use the second hot wire as a neutral and the ground as the ground wire. you will need an electrician to do this work

Answer:	yes a 140 is the minimum amps for this aluminum spool gun, don't forget the electric gas solenoid inside your machine for your gas to turn on when welding, some don't have this and you must turn tank on and off. the 140c models are ready to go out of the box. this gun was made for c models but can accommodate other quick connect lincolns. if you do not have a quick connect system that matches this quick connect unit i would not recommend trying to wire in with out a lincoln specialist. hope this helps B.G.

Answer:	Machine manufacturers recommend a spool gun to weld aluminum along with 100% argon. Stainless welds pretty much the same as steel you just use a tri-mix gas.

Answer:	You would not be able to stick weld with this machine.

Answer:	Based off the duty cycle of the welder which translates as "during a possible 10 minute period 4 minutes out of the 10 you could weld at the highest settings without stopping for 4 minutes." This is considered a 40% duty cycle rating. Next you decide if you wish to use an electric or gas type generator. Either case to use the welder a 30 amp fuse able 220/240 outlet is required and one that generates at least 3,000 watts. I sometimes bring my own homemade portable plug outlet with a 50 amp rated fuse breaker that I wire directly into the junction box of the place I intend to work at.
