Question:	Is there a conversion table to show the temperature for each dial setting
Answer:	This rheostat has a very narrow range because it's designed especially for soldering stained glass projects. When it is set on high, that's the maximum output for your iron. The temperature of your iron is controlled by the tip (aka known as the heater). This can not tell you what the temperature is (on the dial) because the temperature is not predictable from iron to iron or more specifically, tip to tip. Also, please note that this does not increase your household current, it can only decrease the current supplied to your iron. Hope this helps.
Question:	Will this work with a wood burner for lowering the temp
Answer:	It may depend on the burner. I use it with 2 soldering irons. I have an adjustable 60w and a non-adjustable 100W. With the 60W, I just set the iron at max, then use the dial on this rheostat to adjust it. The battery packs use AWG10 wire and the lipo packs themselves use a high temp solder on wide tabs. The 60w won't touch the lipo tabs, but it works fine for 12AWG on up. The 100W with the dial at 7 works great for AWG10 and at 8 to take apart large lipo packs.

Answer:	Find out what your watts are for your hot plate then compair.

Answer:	As far as I know, yes. You can set the temp on the rheostat. I usually set it somewhere between 5 and 6.

Question:	Will this work for speed control of a 12 amp router
Answer:	I don't believe so. They don't hold up well for what they are intended for. A router motor will cook it. They suite my companies need pretty well so we have purchased quite a few of them.
Question:	Can this product be used to regulate a reptile undertank heat mat
Answer:	I use it to regulate the temp to melt touch up waxes. I use the same wood burning wand. I get the wand down to a temp that melts my waxes properly. These are wood touch up waxes. Not candle wax. Knowing how they work for me, I would probably give it a shot.
Question:	Could i use this to slow down an angle grinder? For polishing instead of cutting
Answer:	For a dremel it shout work. Anything above that? I have no idea.

Answer:	There are a number of authorized Hakko distributors. Look on the Hakko USA web site, make sure the one you select on Amazon is listed on there as a true Hakko distributor.
Question:	Does this station worksbfrom 220 V supply
Answer:	Why would you spend $100 to light a bong when you can buy a nice $20 butane torch or a $5 soldering iron if that's what you want to use. This soldering iron would be capable of heating to around 300C. That's more than enough heat to ignite a plant based material. Is it the best? Probably not. Is it safe to use a soldering iron to ignite plant based material? I don't know im not a doctor. The problem is that if you want to keep a tip that heats well then you need to keep solder on the tip or it will burn out and not transfer heat. TLDR: use a butane torch.
Question:	Does this unit have a fuse in it
Answer:	Accoding to the HakkoUSA website (under "where to buy"), ness electronics is listed as a retailer. Can't say if it's real or not, but that gives it a higher vote of confidence.Quick followup edit, I just took mine apart and confirmed it's real. Real stations use the R5F1007C chip. Fakes are known to use AVRs or PICs. Mine was purchased from ness electronics.
