Material: Teavana cast iron teapots are made from cast iron, which is known for its excellent heat retention properties. This material helps keep the tea hot for an extended period, allowing for a leisurely tea-drinking experience.
Design: These teapots often feature intricate and decorative designs, including patterns, motifs, and textured surfaces. They are available in various shapes and sizes, with many models having a classic Japanese-inspired look.
Enamel Coating: To prevent rust and make maintenance easier, many Teavana cast iron teapots have an enamel coating on the interior. This coating also helps preserve the tea's flavor and prevents it from taking on a metallic taste.
Handles and Spouts: Teavana cast iron teapots typically come with a sturdy handle for comfortable pouring and a well-designed spout for controlled and drip-free pouring.
Lids: The teapots usually have well-fitted lids with a knob or handle for easy removal. These lids help keep the tea warm and also prevent debris from falling into the teapot.

Capacity: These teapots are available in various capacities, making it easy to choose one that suits your needs, whether you're brewing tea for yourself or a small group.
Heat Source: Teavana cast iron teapots are suitable for various heat sources, including gas stoves, electric stoves, and induction cooktops. Some models are not designed for open flames, so it's essential to check the manufacturer's recommendations.
Maintenance: Proper care is necessary to maintain the quality and appearance of these teapots. It's recommended to rinse them with plain hot water after each use and thoroughly dry them to prevent rust. Avoid using detergents or abrasive materials that can damage the enamel coating.
Tradition and Aesthetics: Teavana cast iron teapots are not only functional but also appreciated for their traditional and aesthetic appeal. They can be a beautiful addition to your tea-serving ritual and home decor.

Below you can find our editor's choice of the best teavana cast iron teapots on the market- Handmade Kiyoshi Luxury: Perhaps it’s the unique shapes, prints, and 2-Tone Colors we use for each Tetsubin that makes them the preferred Japanese tea pots for things like Corporate, Anniversaries, Weddings, or Engagement Gifts. User questions & answers
Question: | Can you use this with an induction coil? It seems like it would be perfect for that |
Answer: | I do not know what an induction coil is, I use it on my gas stove. It is a very sturdy tea pot. |
Question: | where is this made |
Answer: | China. From package: "All Unity Teapots are made of FDA approved materials and are certified lead-free." |
Question: | Where is the product made |
Answer: | I do not know where it is manufactured, but I bought it as an alternative to a higher priced Japanese tetsubin tea pot and absolutely love it! |
Question: | Has anyone used the cast iron teapot warmers that use tealights? If so, do they produce enough heat to keep the tea warm |
Answer: | Tealights works, but they smear the bottom of the teapot with dark smoke. I now use a cup warmer and I found this Disney mug warmer to be very suitable and inexpensive: http://amzn.com/B00AZEZ50Q. You get a nice mug to keep too. The hype about this teapot that keeps the tea warm by itself is not true. Cast iron does not retain heat by nature. You do need the warming solution like the tealight of mug warmer. |

Old Dutch's Unity Tetsubin Teapots
Tetsubins are Japanese-style Cast Iron Teapots that are graceful and elegant vessels for brewing and serving tea. They are considered the best vessels for tea brewing, as the cast iron evenly distributes heat to extract the full flavor and health benefits of the tea. Their heat-retaining properties keep tea at proper service temperature for up to an hour.
Infusing Loose Leaf Tea
Each Teapot includes a Stainless Steel Infusing Basket for convenient brewing of loose tea. (Except the large 'Hakone' teapot/humidifier)

Your teapot is intended for brewing and serving only. Do not use your teapot to boil water. You may, however, keep your teapot warm over a tealight candle if desired.

Place loose tea into the stainless steel infuser. Adjust quantity according to tea type and taste.
Pour the water into the teapot, cover and steep 3 to 5 minutes or to taste. Remove infuser and wet tea leaves.
Which Tetsubin is right for you?
Whether you're serving tea for two or for an entire family, we offer a wide variety of Cast Iron Tetsubins to choose from.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is the bottom flat and/or painted? I want to use it on a glass top range |
Answer: | The bottom is painted the same color as the rest of it. It's not meant to be heated on the range though. You heat the water in a tea kettle and then pour it in this teapot to brew. |
Question: | What color handle does the moss green fidelity teapot have? Black or brown |
Answer: | I bought the red one and it was black. |
Question: | How much water/tea can the teapot hold |
Answer: | If you fill it to the tippy-top, it's just about 27 ounces. Subtracting the water that the tea absorbs, you get 26oz. I don't like to say it holds x amount of cups, because people use cups of all different sizes. I use tall 14oz mugs. This teapot makes two perfect cups of tea for me. But in the tea world, a "cup of tea" is generally agreed to equal 6 fluid ounces. When buying a teapot, if it says it makes 3 cups it usually means 18oz. This annoys me so much that I need a cup of tea to calm down whenever I think about it.Tips: I like fairly strong tea, so I put 4 teaspoons of tea in the basket. (Not a measuring spoon, an actual teaspoon.) This measures about 10-12 grams, depending on the tea. Also, I recommend that you do NOT wash the inside of it with soap. As long as you don't put sugar in the pot, you only need to rinse it out and put it upside down to dry.(Oh, and a "cup of coffee" is about 5oz, so keep that in mind too when buying coffee makers.) |
Question: | Is the bottom flat? Is the bottom painted |
Answer: | Hi, the bottom of the teapot is flat. I do not believe the bottom is painted but I'm not 100% sure. Do you have a concern about the bottom being painted? I don't use the tea kettle on the stove. I boil the water and add it to the pot but I have used it with a warmer that keeps the tea hot without any issue. I love the tea pot. I use it at work and get lots of compliments on it. It makes amazing tea! |

ODI's Tetsubin Tea Tips
Your teapot is intended for brewing and serving only. Do not use your teapot to boil water. You may, however, keep your teapot warm over a tealight candle if desired.
Pre-heat your teapot: Pour a small amount of heated water into the teapot, let sit, swirl and discard.
Our biggest Tetsubin, the 3 Liter 'Hakone' can even double as a humidifier for your home.
The tiny 11 oz. 'Tokyo' is small enough to be your portable and personal teapot.
From elegant and traditional to colorful and loud, Old Dutch carries many designs to suit your personal taste.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does the lid fit on the teapot when the infuser is not being used |
Answer: | The width is 5 1/5inch, as shown in the figure. hope to help you! |
Question: | Is it made of borosilicate glass |
Answer: | No- The enamel coating protects the teapot from rust and leaching iron into tea. However, this enamel is brittle, and thus high thermal temperatures will cause cracks and chips. This is the main reason you should not use cast iron teapot on a stove. Heat your water in a kettle and steep the tea in the teapot. if you want your tea to remain warm you can get a tea light candle warmer. |
Question: | where is this teapot made |
Answer: | Surprisingly, 28 oz. I checked yesterday and it was 28oz (800ml). |
Question: | Can I use it on gas stove top to boil water |
Answer: | The teapot is internally applied with thickenedglass enamel, need not worry about internalrust! Excellent product for the time I have used it. |

User questions & answers
Question: | is this cast iron lead-free |
Answer: | It comes with a tea infuser which is a screen for loose leaf teas. Makes 4 cups when filled. |
Question: | How many ounces does the pot hold |
Answer: | It's blue.....it's heavy.....and it only holds enough liquid to serve two people. If you "hotten the pot" as the instructions advise, your tea will stay hot for about an hour. Don't drop it on your foot or your new granite countertops! |
Question: | Is there a tribute included in this set? I see it pictured but not in the definition. Thank you |
Answer: | Hi, It does not say where it is made on the item itself, and I no longer have the box. It is well made however, and has a black enamel interior. It's quite hefty, and the strainer is wide and large to keep the tea leaves from being too crowded. Hope that helps. |
Question: | What are the cups made of |
Answer: | You would need to heat the water before pouring into the pot. This pot will keep the water hot for over an hour. |
