Question:	does the solder wire have lead in it
Answer:	Although the metal wire(only one small role) will hold to lead, I believe it to be of tin or aluminum compound but I do not have an exact answer because the company didn't give me the answer also. I do use this for many small project and lead wire is easy to find as are most metal soldering wires.

Question:	Does this use standard T18 tips, if not what kind of tips does it use
Answer:	I have this soldering iron and I use genuine Hakko T18 tips also. The only difference between 900M and T18 tips is the overall width of the shank. T18 shanks are roughly 1.5 to 3 tenths of a mm wider, it depends on how much undersize the cheap tips are when you compare them. The 4mm hole on the cheap tips aren't all drilled to the same depth, so some will sit directly on the steel shaft that protrudes from the handle of the iron and surrounds the ceramic heater and some do not, leaving a small gap between the shank of the tip and the steel shaft. The Hakko tips leave a very small gap and sit directly on the tip of the ceramic heater, so don't over tighten the steel sleeve that holds the tip in place. Even when there's a gap with the cheaper tips you should not overtighten the sleeve, you risk breaking the ceramic heater. Just firmly finger tighten. Answer:	I do believe it will, if it is part of circuit board be careful to not use to much heat or to big of a tip.

Warm Tips:

1. Please switch to the 200℃ model when not using and please do not keep the soldering iron stay at high temperature all the time, which makes it easy for the iron core to accelerate oxidation and burn out, shortening its life.

2. When welding, do not apply too much pressure, otherwise the tip will be damaged. As long as the tip can fully contact the solder joint, heat can be transferred.

3. Please melt a little solder wire on the tip of soldering iron after use, if there is black oxide on the tip, the tip may not be tinned and must be cleaned firstly.
