| Answer: | Great place to leave the key, your ONLY option to open it. You must’ve had cheap/zold batteries, I’ve had the same batteries for over 2 years. One word- DURACELL- That’s like keeping your spare house keys inside the house. They sell lock pick sets for cheap on the GEEK app and they work great... if you know how to pick a lock. And next time hide the key elsewhere, like in a locked jewelry box, just don’t lock it’s key inside. |

Go to you tube and see how easy they unlock. if you need to save enough money for a truck put it in a savings account in a bank. If for some reason in your past you can't do that, like Uncle Sam is waiting for you to put money in a bank account so he can scarf it, use a safety deposit box or have your friend open one for you AND GIVE YOU THE ONLY KEY . |

This safe, however, is WAY BIGGER than a hotel room safe, which is typically only big enough for jewelry, wallets, passports, tablets & phones. I love this safe as it holds 2 standard jewelry boxes of my stuff plus room for some file folders holding important documents. But then maybe the clients you rent to NEED a safe big enough to hold a laptop or brief of paperwork, etc. We LOVE this safe; our Police Dept. advised us to bolt it to the floor for added protection. |

| Answer: | The way these safes are listed on Amazon is somewhat convoluted, and the answers do not necessarily line up to the model you are considering. For model SFW123FUL, which I just received, it can be bolted to the floor but it DOES NOT come with the hardware included. You must purchase the hardware separately. However the screws, washers, and anchors needed to bolt this safe to a floor are very inexpensive and can be found at any big-box home improvement store. It was the rep from Sentry Safe who told me what specific parts I need, and he came on the line in less than a minute: 2 lag screws measuring 3/8" x 4", 2 washers, and 2 masonry anchors (I'm bolting down to a concrete slab). So, annoying that Amazon does not clearly distinguish what one model of safe comes with vs another, but due credit to Sentry's customer service. |

| Answer: | I can't remember exactly what the manual indicated, but you're alerted when the batteries are low, either with a warning light that comes on or a beeping noise. Replacing the batteries are easy-peasy as the battery drawer just slides out from the side of the keypad. So, yes, the batteries are replaced from the safe's outside surface. |
