User questions & answers

Question: What color is the puddle when welding
Answer: This helmet is a Christmas/January high school graduation present for our grandson, so I don’t know b/c, of course, he doesn’t have the helmet yet.
Question: Is this a ungrade over the miller elite
Answer: The digital infinity is statistically a better helmet with more viewing area, tracks usage. But it is also heavier than the elite. If you don't need those 2 options, the elite would be a better choice.
Question: Does the headgear fit fat heads? I max out my speed glass headgear
Answer: yes, this helmet has grind, torch cut, and weld modes.
Question: Does this come with the bag and spare lens
Answer: 281000 is the black miller elite- it has more options, larger window, and 4 sensors. The 282000 black miller performance smaller window, 3 sensors, fewer options. Both have a 3-year warranty on the lens - As long as there are no external cracks or weld spatter on the lens.

User questions & answers

Question: thank you for your help . is there charging before any use
Answer: Esta referencia de careta no tiene función para pulir (grind), sólo tiene función de oscurecimiento automático.
Question: Does it have auto on/off or do you have to turn it on
Answer: The Digital Pro-Hobby helmet has digital (push-button) controls instead of the dial-operated controls seen in the Classic. It also sports a Grinding mode.
Question: Does it work
Answer: Miller inside & outside lens
Question: Can you use this with eye glasses on
Answer: Different guys will give different answers, but I will steer you straight. I have 15 years experience, and used this hood (little different version) for many years. Welding 6+ hours a day. It is very light which is awesome. The elite is heavy. Viewing area is a non issue. The trend has been to constantly increase window size to the point where now the sppedglas xl has a huge window at the expense of weight and they had to eliminate solar strip to make room so battery lasts only half as long. This has the standard 1.8x3.8 viewing area which is perfectly adequate. I promise you will never think to yourself, I wish i had a hood with a bigger window. It just is not an issue. I know guys say its a hobby helmet as if that's a bad thing, but I'm a professional and loved mine for years.
