Question:	I am looking to use this for photo storage and and backup, has anyone used it for that and how well does it work
Answer:	I've had it running for 30 days now an it seems to work great. I put two 4tb drives in it and set it to raid(0). Mostly it involves setting up users then after that is done you can either map a shortcut or drive, create folders, and drag and drop as you would in windows. The DNLA server works well as I also stream movies besides using it for backup storage. This is a no frills NAS but that is what I wanted. Backup and Movie streaming is the primary purpose.
Question:	The warranty says its for 2 years. Is this a manufacturer's warranty for the hard drives, motherboard or device. Will Buffalo replace the device

Question:	Does this HD connect with tvs
Answer:	I have not connected it directly to a TV, but it may be possible to connect to a smart TV if it's DLNA compatible. I'm not calertain. I have mine connected through my home network to a PS3. The PS3 is connected to the TV so any content on the NAS can be viewed on the TV that way.
Question:	My remote office bought two, when I try to download manual so I can help them set the buffalo.jp pages are all down. Anyone find the manual online
Answer:	All downloads are on this site. https://www.buffalotech.com/products/linkstation-200-series At bottom of page. There are both Windows and Mac versions. To set up you want the NAS Navigator which allows all formatting and network setup along with security options.

Answer:	It sounds like you're asking if it transcodes the video files (like a dedicated SOHO/Pro NAS). If that's what you're asking then the answer is an emphatic "no". You'll be able to play the files, but you are going to be downloading the entire file, not a scaled down version for your device (if the file is a 4K video that's 10 GB, the entire 10 GB will be streamed to your device). Transcoding (especially on the fly) is something that requires a fair amount of processing power and RAM to accomplish. There's just no way to include that kind of hardware at this price point. If you want to use your bandwidth efficiently, buy a dedicated NAS. If you're the only one utilizing said bandwidth, this should work for you.

Kwilt is meant to be mapped to your local network and any drive you plug in will become a Network Attached Storage device.
