The battery that comes with it didn't last very long, in fact, it lasted for me to demonstrate to my friends... but the one that I bought, a regular one that you buy anywhere is lasting now for three months and I have used the light for night shooting training all the time. I don't know but the "constant" battery life on this, not surprisingly, will depend on use. I remove the battery when not using, especially if the light tumbles or something, the switch is a "light trigger" switch and if the tumble is on its side, it will light up and wear the battery down until someone sees it.
