Answer:	I would think they could be swished in warm water with a drop of baby shampoo and then rinsed and dried by siting on a hand towel. I did not try washing them and they made my mask leak more where they ended as I have a skinny face. It was worth a try for me but they did work for a friend and they swished them to clean them.
Question:	Can the M3 use a 14500 Li-ion battery
Answer:	I've only used them with a CPAP mask, but they are thin and flexible and I don't see why they couldn't be used with cloth masks.

Answer:	I'm not sure if I fully understand your question, but, it said to put on your nose under your mask so that is what he did. They just would not stay in place and kept rolling up. He just has the strap that goes around his head to keep the mask in place.

Answer:	It’s 168 lumens, as is posted in the ad. Candlepower (which is really what matters - the reflector and lens has a very large impact) is 42,355. That’s a lot. A LOT. A pocket flashlight might have 500-3000. A tactical one might have 10,000-20,000. Crazy ones like my $280 Felix have 12,000 lumens and 200,000 candlepower. But Maglites are bulletproof (I still have the one I bought in 1980, one year after Mag-Lite was founded, and it looks like new) and will keep their maximum brightness for over 6 hours (for 2-cell) and 80 hours (for 3-cell). The cool small Fenix and Nitecore flashlights are very bright (up to 40,000 candlepower, 1600 lumens) and small, but they get too hot so their internal processor (they are very smart) will cut back to fairly dim after a few minutes (like 5 or less). If you really need to keep up maximum brightness for a while (working outside, walking at night through the forest to your campground, searching a field for a lost item) and want something that will last a lifetime, nothing beats a Mag-Lite. I own 2 rechargeable ones, one 6-cell LED, 5 3-cell LEDs, and 2 2-cell.

Answer:	According to the FL1 testing procedures, with a fresh set of alkaline batteries it will run from full brightness at 30 seconds after turning it on to 10% of full brightness at 79 hours. 10 % is bright enough to light your path if you are walking slowly, and bright enough to read by. I have not personally checked the run time, as I use the FL1 standardized test results as a basis for comparison when buying flashlights. But Maglight can be depended upon to give accurate test results. FWIW, I do not use alkaline batteries in ANYTHING anymore because I have had so many devices ruined by the batteries leaking. I use eneloop rechargeable batteries in almost everything, and for lights that will be stored for long periods of time without being used, like in my Bug Out Bag, I use Energizer Ultimate Lithium batteries because they have an extremely long shelf life, and do not leak. In my 3 D Cell Maglite I use adapters that let me use 3 AA batteries to replace 1 D size. So I use 9 AA eneloop batteries in my 3D cell Maglite and they work quite well. Answer:	The Streamlight 88033 emits an extreme white light...this is a medium beam. Probably due to the resonant extreme brightness. I would highly recommend this as a flashlight and a protection weapon because of the serrated rim on the head. I bought this as a gift for my freshman daughter living away in her dorm.

Answer:	The central part of the handle is narrower than the two ends. The central part is about 5/8th inch and the two ends are about 3/4th inch in diameter.

Answer:	The Streamlight web site gives numbers for "reach" for their various lights, as in how far out the light will illuminate objects. In my own use, I've put enough light on an electric transmission tower to discern its structure at a distance greater than 300 yards. More to your point, however, would be the effect the light has on wildlife. I walk my dog every night at 11:00 pm. Due to the presence of coyotes in our area, I always scan the field with the light prior to releasing the dog. I frequently see rabbits (at least by the reflection of their eyes). With my prior 55-lumen light, the rabbits wouldn't react, remaining still. With the new 150-lumen light, they bolt every time. I can only guess how your owls & other night birds might react.

Question:	where is the off/on switch
Answer:	When you turn it on, it is not in the last mode it was running. It is in the next mode in the cycle. It cycles from high to low to strobe with each click, in that order. So if you have it on high and then turn it off. The next time you turn it on, it will be in low. The next time you turn it on, it will be in strobe. The next time it will be in high mode. I like to carry mine in high mode so the last mode it is in before I turn it off and put it away is strobe mode.
Question:	Which orientation do the batteries go in? I don't see that in the directions or labelled on the flashlight itself
Answer:	I use 14500 3.7v batteries (AA size) in these which makes them far brighter than a 1.5v battery. These cree-5 LED's were designed for higher voltage so they look extremely dim to me with 1.5v batteries.

Answer:	Regular AA batteries work in mine with no adapter etc. Be sure you are actually using a fresh AA battery and inserting them correctly.

Answer:	The box you are seeing with the focus ring pulled in all the way is the square shape of the LED that produces the light. That box gets bigger as the focus ring is pushed out away from you until the beam becomes a circle at maximum focus

Question:	If you use the supplied rechargeable battery, how do you know when it is fully charged
Answer:	It has a strap on the soft holster to thread your belt through so you can carry it with you
Question:	How do you replace the batteries
Answer:	If you use 3 AAA cells, you don't need the plastic piece. If you use a 18650 rechargable cell, the plastic cover makes for a tighter fit. Plut the plastic cover all the way in, then put in the 18650 button-top cell.
Question:	Flashlight always starts up in the mode that follows the mode it was in when I shut it off. Can I somehow get it to come on in the brightest mode
Answer:	This flashlight DOES have strobe as one setting. You have to click the on/off button twice fast to change to one of 5 modes, hi power, med, low, strobe, SOS. It will stay at Hi power steady until you cycle to the next mode.
Question:	I bought a two pack one of them on and off switch broke almost immediately will you on warranty this
Answer:	You can absolutely use 18650 batteries (must be 1500-1800mAh only) instead of 3 x AAA batteries.

Answer:	There is no 1/2 press momentary switch. Light must be clicked on. It comes on in low, tap for medium, tap again for high. It is a great little light. Virtually weightless. I carry it in a shirt pocket and I don't even know it's there until I need it.

Question:	Does this light have a voltage regulator or does the light dim as the batteries weaken
Answer:	I regularly use Panasonic Eneloop 1.2v Ni-MH AA's (BK-3MCCA), 1900 mA min) in my Hausbell clones. They won't help you land a plane but I use them constantly around the house and for running errands at night. I usually get 5-8 or 9 days on a charge. I've recharged the H-E-double-hockey-sticks out of the same 5-6 batteries for most of a year or more and their still good to go. They've lasted longer than 5-6 of these style of flashlight. I wish I knew the weak link in these lights. Often I think it's the push button switch or foil-like contact at the positive pole of the battery.
Question:	Would a lithium battery make it brighter
Answer:	I originally wanted to remove the pocket clip. It looked rather difficult to remove so I left it on. Now my flashlight doesn't roll off the bench on to the floor or roll away out of reach when working. It also fits nicely in my pocket with the clip. Glad I left it on.
Question:	Can I submerge it
Answer:	Yes, just the tail cap can be purchased. I found one for my other streamlight. If it is a well worn in flash light, it might be a better idea to warranty the flashlight. Some places that sale the streamlight will also handle the warranty and just hand you a new identical flashlight, but the old one goes away.
Question:	Does this have a high and low beam? How many watts? Thank you
Answer:	Unscrew the tail cap switch. Remove the 2 batteries. Install the 2 new batteries positive side toward the LEDs (where the light comes out of the light). Re install the tail cap. If difficulty is encountered turn the tail cap counter clock-wise to line up the threads a few turns then turn clock wise. Check for function by pressing the tail cap switch to turn the light on.
