Answer:	I would say it is normal. These pumps are not built for long running applications and after a few minutes they get hot. If long running is needed on a regular basis you may need a different pump. My use on 5 minutes on to refill the storage tank, then off for an extended time so it never gets very hot.

Answer:	This style of pump normally comes with an injector that when used as shallow well gets bolted on the end of the pump and for deep the injector goes down in the well. There are some additional fittings included for each with instructions on the needed changes.

Question:	How many amps does the 1/2 HP pump draw
Answer:	The label says 11 amps starts, 5.5 amps running. So I thought I could run it with a Honda EU 2000 generator. It wouldn't handle the start-up load. Switched to a EU 3000. That works, but it's still a big pull on startup. The overload light will blink momentarily, the runs fine. Well depth around 20'.

Answer:	You well depth doesn't determine anything. Your depth to the the water table determines how fast you can pump the water (gallons per min). You can have 100' deep well and a 10' deep well side my side and they will perform roughly the same if the water table is 8' It's the distance from the water table to the pump that matters. You can only suck water up about 25'. After 25' the weight of the water starts to exceed the vacuum of the pump and it's ability to "suck" water up. Once you get the water in the pump you can push it honorarily as far as you want. This pump an create 50-60PSI of pressure. You could push water vertically maybe 100' or so with that 50PSI. The pressure will drop fast as you push water vertically. In short moving water up hill is the hard problem. Moving downhill or sideways is easy. As for the pressure tank buy a small 1 gall tank and install it next to the pump. The $40 more will make you and your pump a lot happier. If you don't your pump will cycle on/off.
Question:	Can you hook a regular gardan hose to it
Answer:	Yes. You need an adapter with a Male hose thread (MHT) on one end and a Male 3/4" standard pipe thread (NPT) on the other end. You could also buy an outdoor water spigot and a 1/2" female NTP to 3/4 male NTP adapter and screw the spigot directly into one of the 3/4" ports on the pump. Note: You need at a minimum a (1 gal or larger) pressure tank to make the pump/pressure switch turn on/off correctly/reliably. The pump will cycle on/off/on/off... without the pressure tank.

Question:	unit pressure pre-set at 55 psi', does that mean it will add 55 psi to the existing line pressure or will it shut off when it gets to 55 psi
Answer:	No it won't add pressure. If your incoming pressure is higher than 55 psi your pump will just sit there. If you adjust the pressure switch values higher than 55 it will work. But you have to increase the bladder pressure also, about 2 lbs lower than your high pressure.

Answer:	I had the HNE-L STA-RITE equivalent for about 10 years before it died.The SNE-L actually has a 1 hp motor where the HNE-L is actually a 1 1/2 hp motor but advertised as 1hp.I have installed the HNE-L in my sprinkler system and can't tell the difference.It seems to have plenty of output and quieter than the other.Very happy with the pump and the fast delivery from the vendor.

Question:	can this product use to supply water to home from a tank (well
Answer:	I do. I have cistern, I put a check valve after tank, the pump next, a pressure tank, and a another check valve and this connects to the house piping. You must place the check valve to stop the water bleeding back into the cistern and the second to trap the water in the house lines for a smoother operation. My pressure tank is 36 gallon and I can complete a couple showerS on the tank of water. Best of luck!

CAUTION:

1. Liquid Requirements: Clean liquids without suspended solids, non-aggressive (Liquid temperature: -20℃~+40℃). Not recommended for sand point applications and please avoid sand pumped into pump body.

2.If the pump remain unused for a long period of time, please empty it to prevent formation of deposits or increase of water volume due to frozen water, which could tear the fixing bolts or cracking the pump body.

Question:	My unit only came with one black coupler connector. What type of connector fits on the outlet side of the control module. Have trouble makjng connecti
Answer:	The others are mipt and fipt for the top of the prv I used a simple 1” water meter coupling. It comes standard with a 3/4” male pipe thread that pvc will attach to. Then from there you can buy a standard 3/4” mipt x 5/8 water hose adapter from Home Depot. It works. As far as the inlet on the pump just get a 1” mipt with a reducer and then the 3/4” pipe thread x 5/8” water hose adapter again. This is if you are going to hook up water hoses. But I will tell you, the black piece that has an oring is a very bad design. No matter what I do I can’t get it to stop leaking. I am going to have to find a better thicker gasket or something.
Question:	For an irrig. systm I need it to turn on when incoming source press is 15 psi and turn off when source shuts off. Will it work
Answer:	No iy won't, the pump turns on and off depending on the outcoming pressure. However you could add a pressure switch that triggers at 15psi on the incoming water line that will make it do this however not
