Question:	Is it safe to use another fluid to refill the biocharge cartridge
Answer:	I don't think I would do that, but that is just me. The product only releases when gd is in use. If the other product was more concentrated I don't know what it would do to the plastic. I would say it is for one time use over a 3-4 month period.
Question:	How often do you have to change the bottle of septic solution? Thank you
Answer:	I think they recommend every 4 months -- but it really depends on how much you use it! I hope this helps!
Question:	Do i still have to use rid-x in my septic even though i have this disposal with the enzyme solution that does the same thing as rid-x
Answer:	I have been using this Bio charge since 1998, the only thing I do other than the bio charge is pour outdated butter milk down the drain. The butter milk is not a regular thing but it is noted that butter milk carries the enzymes for digestion. I do this seldom so it is not an issue with me.. I suspect that the Bio charge is enough. Of course, it does not hurt to add some other additive, other than Rid-X, once in awhile but that may be overkill and not a must. I do monitor the bio charge container to make sure it is injecting properly, when it appears to be empty, I will change the container out and pour any left into the bottle into the disposal with water running...
Question:	Can I take the cap off and use manually in disposal? or is the cap tamper resistant? Another reviewer mentioned this & I just want to make sure I can
Answer:	This is set up to provide a metered amount during disposal use, you do not want to do this manually because you'll end wasting a lot. The are a lot of other products out there to add to a septic system manually that work great. Don't waste your time and money trying to do it with this item.

Answer:	Emerson Electric does make them, but you won't find them here on Amazon.com. I see one at http://www.220-electronics.com/insinkerator-evolution-100-garbage-disposal.html... It's a different model from the Evolution Excel, but it should be pretty good quality...

Answer:	You will need a switch to turn the unit off and on. InSinkErator makes a switch that attaches to the unit, or you can install a 110v wall switch.
Question:	Will it fit to existing mounting assembly of my old InSinkErator or do I need to replace it with the mounting assembly that comes with the new unit
Answer:	I replaced the mounting assembly even though I didn't need to. Either would have worked. I had a new sink with a very old disposal. I am barely qualified to change a light bulb and found the process easy. I used nothing but screwdrivers, pliers, and the wrench that came with the unit as the old plug, gaskets, clamps, and pipes hooked up to the new unit without a problem.
Question:	Would it make sense to attach one of these to a toilet or would soggy paper be likely to clog it up
Answer:	If you attach this to your toilet, be sure to tear the toilet paper up into small pieces to prevent the soggy paper from clogging it up. Warning: Do not deposit corn or nuts into this Erator. Make sure you remove any corn or nuts before turning on the Erator.

Answer:	The XTR is slightly different in that it comes with a 6 year warranty vs. 4 year warranty and it appears 1 unit quieter (a 2 vs. 3). I assume this means the inner-components are a bit more durable but from the listed specifications, i see no meaningful difference (outside the warranty and quietness) between the compact and XTR model as listed components appear the same: 3/4 horsepower, 1725 RPM, 34.6 oz. grind chamber, 2-Stage MultiGrind Technology, Quiet SoundSeal Technology.

Question:	i have a badger 1 1/3 how do i get the bottom off to wire it straight out of wall
Answer:	There is no fragrance added so it just smells like the combination of ingredients from which it is made. So it has it's own unique smell that I really don't know how to describe it. I asked my 10 year old daughter to describe it, to get a child's opinion and she said "smells like nothin". I really like the smell myself, but the smell dissipates very fast after you put it on your beard. At least it does to me.Some days I like to add a drop or two of an essential oil to the balm in the palm of my hand before I apply it. I like to use spearmint or peppermintbut you could add any scent you like. That is one of the reasons why we didn't add a scent, so that you could make it smell like whatever you like.I prefer a comb on my beard especially for applying beard balm. I think a comb does a better job of covering each hair individually. I find the best time to apply it is right out of the shower when your beard is clean and damp.
Question:	Blades and armature are free wheeling, but motor only makes a humming sound followed shortly by acrid smell

Answer:	The comb is a good quality, stamped plastic comb. It is supplied so that you will have a designated comb to use with your beard balm, so that you do not get in trouble, by using your wife's hair brush. It is not hand cut by Elves, or made out of unicorn horn. This comb is not intended to replace your expensive beard comb, it's just a bonus for you if you don't have one.

Nothing else is added, so if you aren't allergic to the listed ingredient, than it should be hypoallergenic for you. To our knowledge no one has had an allergic reaction yet. If you do have very sensitive skin, you might want to try it on a small place first.
