That adapter only accepts 110-120volts You can buy international travel power adapters that will accept 220volts and provide usb charging

Answer:	Mine stop working the fifth time using it. Resawing a small piece of oak, the motor just gave up. Also i was unable to create an account with them because PR is not in the states/country list, so i was unable to get a warranty. Wasted my money, buy a good bandsaw don't waste your money.

Power and Stability

To provide stable footing--the key to optimum accuracy--the 54HH has a 21- x 13-inch (W x D), all-steel base cabinet that puts the table surface at a comfortable 32 inches above the floor. The one-horsepower, one-phase, 115-/230-volt motor (pre-wired for 115 volts) is factory-mounted within the base cabinet and can be converted to use 230-volt power. The motor is on a special mount for easy belt-tension adjustments, and the fine/quick adjustment lever on the infeed table ensures precision cuts.

The base also contains the dust collection chute that evacuates debris from below the cutterhead via the exterior four-inch-diameter port near the floor--a design that keeps the hose out of the way to prevent tripping accidents.

Helical Cutterhead

There are many cutterhead designs that carry the helical moniker, including simple straight blades broken into segments and dispersed around the cutterhead cylinder. Despite the helical label, they retain many of the liabilities of the long-blade designs. However, the 54HH features a true helical cutterhead with specially machined carbide inserts arranged in spiral-shaped rows for effective--and incredibly quiet--performance.

The inserts also have a four-inch radius ground into them and are mounted so they approach the wood at a 14-degree angle. This creates a true shear cut that eliminates much of the impact and the resulting fiber disturbance other cutterhead designs deliver. Also, the durability of the carbide combined with the low-impact, shear cutting action mean the inserts have an extended life.

Precision Ground Cast-Iron Tables

With a length of 66 inches and a width of 7-1/2 inches, the main precision-ground cast-iron table is one of the longest available in this class, providing plenty of support for large workpieces. It's conveniently mounted on dovetailed ways that keep it perfectly aligned through height changes. Adjustments are easy: the outfeed table height is adjusted with a handwheel mounted below the table; to adjust the infeed table, the handle can be moved up and down for coarse height changes or, the long handle can be rotated to make fine, precise height adjustments.

Question:	Will this run on household current
Answer:	The cutting blades are exactly 3-1/8 inch. The shoe is 3 inches. This is a useful tool for trimming doors and other small dimension work, but it is hand held and very powerful. I use it rarely, but when you need something like this it beats using a hand plane. For real planing jobs I have a Ryobi joiner/planer for work up to about 6 inches and for big stuff I use my Ridgid 13 inch planer. The Bosch unit would be considered a limited use tool, but the price for a refurbished unit from Bosch was very reasonable.

Answer:	This planer must be connected to a 110/120 source. To run it on 220 you have to have a voltage converter to convert electrical to 110/120.
Question:	If I had to choose between a jointer and a planer which should I choose
Answer:	The two tools kind of go together; you flatten one side of a board on a jointer, then get it so that it is all the same thickness with a planer. That said, you can use a planer to make a board flatter, but it won't be perfect. Start by running the board through on it's most stable side, making sure to go with the grain and just take a minimal amount off of that side, say a 1/16th or less so that you just get the high points. Flip the board and do the same thing on the other side, again a minimal amount, until you've got both sides fully planed. If your board is bowed, take most of your cuts on the high side, and it will lessen the tension that's causing the bow; again, it won't be perfect, but it should be better.

Answer:	There is actually 13" between the guides, but I don't think I'd try putting anything bigger than 12 1/2" through it. The board could pinch if it gets cocked in there. Remember that you need to take into account the width of the board you want to plane (whether wide or narrow) and also the density of the wood as you lower the cutter heads after each pass. If I'm planing something such as Douglas fir, I turn the crank down 1/2 a turn. If I'm doing something like maple, I'll only turn the crank down a 1/4 or even a1/6 of a turn, especially if it's a wide board, too. When you put your board through for the first pass, if you have a 3/4" board for instance, you may want to set the depth gauge a little bit higher...it won't hurt anything if it's too high, but if there's any sort of crown or twist to your board, it will keep the machine from bogging down. Same goes when you're lowering the depth gauge, if you're not sure, err on the side of caution. The material that your planer spits out should be paper thin, about a 1/4" wide, and 2 or more inches long. If it's just a bunch of little chips, say 1/4" x 1/2", you're probably planing against the grain. Flip the board over the narrow way, and send it through again. Once you've been doing it for a while, you'll be able to tell from the sound of the machine if you're going against the grain or trying to take too much off at once.
