Question:	How does this perform on solid hardwood like oak or maple? My 18g Paslode performs great but I'm tired of fuel cells, and expensive repairs
Answer:	How much do you spend on repairs and fuel cells? do the math and see if it make sense for you. There is no ongoing cost for this exept nails and it seems to work pretty good, Im sure it would preform well on solid hardwood (it will go through a formica countertop no problem and into wood below it). It's a semi precision tool and it wont take much abuse, but overall it really has alot more power than i thought it would. I'd say go for it.

The NP18DSAL Pin Nailer is taking fine finish carpentry to the next level. No longer will you have to worry about hoses and compressor for your 23-gauge pin nailer needs.



Please note, it is necessary to buy high quality pins to ensure the tool works as expected. Pins with lower grade metal can be less rigid and bend at the point of entry or bend at the point of impact from the tool. Each of these scenarios can cause the tool to jam or the pin not to penetrate the wood as anticipated, especially at longer lengths. Metabo HPT pin nails are manufactured to higher tolerances and perform better in our nailers. Answer:	If it is firing, but the pin is not discharging, there could be a jam. If it doing nothing when you fire it then you are either low of pins or it may need to be repaired.
