Question:	Can I charge these batteries with a 240v charger? there would be a problem
Answer:	As others mention, many major tool manufacturers including Bosch offer hex shank drill bits. My guess would be that eliminating the standard drill chuck further reduces the depth of this tool, improving clearance in close quarters. If you REAALLLY need such a chuck to feel complete, small chucks with hex shanks DO exist, can be had for cheap from places like HF. Expect a fair amount of runout with such a solution. Otherwise, consider instead purchasing a sibling product that features a chuck, out of the box.
Question:	Just got this set and the chuck spins extremely loosely. I had an older version that didn’t. Is this normal for this set
Answer:	Yes. At Home Depot they carry drill bits that will work. You need the bits that have the Quick Connect base. If the base of the drillbit is just round, like a dowel, that is the wrong one. They can point you to the right thing at HD, but the answer to your question is yes.
Question:	One person is saying this has 1.5 ah batteries and one says the 2.0 batteries. What ones are they coming with now
Answer:	As another noted, all you need is a simple step-down transformer that somewhat exceeds the power draw - probably a simple 100w unit that you can find on Amazon for not much money at all. As for 50 vs 60 on cycles/frequency, that also does not matter - you charge a battery, and the battery runs the unit. I know all this because I'm an American who has used such tools for years while stationed overseas. I buy the U.S. version on Amazon, and then just use a transformer.

Answer:	Sadly, but true, it is made in China...even Bosch has tools made in China. Quality is OK, I just wish that it was made in the USA.

Answer:	I have no idea about a lifetime guarantee on the battery, I know that the battery lasts a long time before needing a charge. I only use the drill occasionally for home tasks and have I not used up my first initial charge on battery #1 since buying the drill about a year ago. The battery holds it's charge well over a long period of time. I found this drill to be both great quality and very powerful. I am happy I chose this particular drill!
Question:	I have a previous version drill KC10DFL and battery BCL1015. Is the battery and charger from the KC10DFL2 compatible with the previous version
Answer:	The charger states on it 110v only. I tried a step down transformer from 230 -> 110v and the charger would not work with this. In the end just plugged the charger direct into 230v and it seems to work fine (for around 4 months). I suspect the 110v and the 230v chargers that hitachi offers are exactly the same. Hope this helps.
Question:	Does the built in light for the drill and impact driver illuminate the work space well? Or is there a shadow from the bits that cover the light
Answer:	No. the DV18DBL use a new slide-type battery called BSL18xx. The DS18DL use an old HXP type battery. They are not compatible.

Answer:	With this drill having a little over 100 in/lbs of torque, when competitors are offering over 1000 in/lbs, I wouldn't trust this to drive anything but the smallest screws.

Answer:	It would not weigh any differently, although it's mass would be lower due to the number of electrons available, which would be around .00000000000000012 g. So if you had 814,000,000,000 it would would have 1 gram of mass less. Which if you were buying trillions of them, you could save several grams as far as shipping weight goes, although it would take 600 million cargo ships to carry that amount, so, unsure if the 1 gram gain would be very noticeable, especially since it would take around 30 billion (each semitrailer carrying 13,567 cartons, which might be a stretch) semitrailer containers (the 24' ones.) The ONLY problem is, that if they even produced, say 1000 drill sets/minute (which also seems a bit high) it would take 1,548,000,000 years to make that many sets. But, if you think that the amount of saved weight is worth it, buy 814,000,000,000,000 drills, use them, box them back up without adding any mass of any sort (including skin cells, which weigh somewhere in the neighborhood of 170,000x greater than the mass of an electron) and ship them, you would have shipped the items back with 1g less mass overall. Answer:	I purchased this drill because of its excellent ratings. I'm a girl, so the jobs I've asked it to perform have been minimal; however, I'm having some repairs and updating done around my house, and my contractor loves it! He has drilled a few holes in concrete to set screws for a metal threshold, so that much I know. In my opinion, it would adequately drill holes in fence posts. I plan to use it when we put a new fence up in the spring.

Further, now that I have used it for a while, I like it even more. The balance is excellent, and, as I said in my review, the slender grip handle really suits my small hands. I have used the drill for numerous drilling and driving projects and have not yet needed to swap batteries or charge a battery. I think battery life is very good.

Answer:	It is reversible. It has that 'push through' design of the L and R button right above the trigger, not the lever. It feels very solid unlike the lever on some other models. If you are on the fence, go for it, it feels 100x better than how goofy it looks in the picture, solid good tolerances.

Answer:	A corded drill is superior to a cordless drill when used for sanding discs, cleaning rust and metal with rotary wire brushes, or rotary buffing with a wool or foam pad. This is because a corded drill can spin up to 2800-3000 rpm, while a cordless drill typically spins at half that speed or less, around 1400-1500 rpm. A corded drill has more torque/power than a cordless drill. A corded drill will last longer, running under its maximum load, than the human user can last, but a cordless drill will lose it charge at some point, and the greater the load the faster the battery is depleted. The only time I need a corded drill to just drill holes is for jobs like drilling 3/4" holes through railroad ties over and over again when building a retaining wall.
