Flexible and Functional
The Bosch RH540M 1-9/16-Inch SDS-max Combination Hammer delivers 6.1 ft.-lbs. of impact energy, making it the hardest hitting and fastest drilling rotary hammer in its class. Delivering 38 percent more impact energy than previous generations and up to 20 percent more than other combo rotary hammers in its class, it has a no-load 170 to 340 rpm, while delivering 1,200 to 2,750 blows per minute. SDS-max and Integral Clutch Bring Convenience
Bosch's SDS-max allows for tool-free and one-handed bit changes, making the combo hammer even more versatile. The operator twists the bit and pushes it until it clicks into place and locks automatically, and it's good to go. The system also provides dust protection and a maximum impact energy transfer rate. The tool's integral clutch disengages the torque transmission if the bit gets into a bind situation, providing protection for the tool and less fatigue for the operator. The auxiliary handle provides additional control and improved depth accuracy.
Adaptable and Effective
The Bosch RH540M Combination Hammer has a Combination Dual Mode Selector Knob allows the tool to be switched between rotary mode or hammer-only mode. This allows for controlled drilling and chiseling applications and precise hole placement. Service minder brushes on the tools also keep them running at maximum capacity, as the tools clearly indicate when preventive maintenance is required. Innovative service modules are designed to let a qualified service technician quickly replace the brushes and cord.

User questions & answers
Question: | Does it have a 3 prong grounded cord |
Answer: | Metal roofing and siding usually runs aroound 28 ga. I stack a dozen sheets and cut them all at once. Here's my previous review...."Bought mine to cut steel roofing. Stacked 12 sheets of ribbed 28 ga. by 3' wide steel and cut all 12 sheets in one pass in matter of seconds and NO sparks! Used sabre saws and nibblers in past. No comparison for straight lines and speed. Have also been using it to cut angle iron and bar stock. Many times faster and cleaner than my 14" cutoff saw that uses an abrasive disc. Not having a shower of sparks and the accompanying fire hazard is a huge benefit. After several roofing jobs and many misc. cuts, it is still as sharp as new. If it ever does get dull, any saw shop can sharpen it for around $10 or less. The info says for thin steel but I consistantly cut up to 1" by 6" solid steel flat bar stock with no effort whatsoever. The 48 tooth blade doesn't cut thick steel any faster than this 68 tooth and the 48 tooth will not work as well on thin sheet steel. As a matter of fact, the 48 tooth is dangerous on thin stock as it will over-feed and grab. If you are cutting various different thickness of steel, buy this one, and skip purchasing the 48 tooth. This 68 tooth blade is all you will ever need. For best results give it a shot of WD-40 on both sides of body in between cuts. A little bit of lubrication makes cuts effortless. Yor will find yourself actually holding back on it as it virtually self-feeds into the material. After one job this blade paid for itself many times over. Will never be without one again. Only regret is not buying one years ago." By the way, 55 gal. drums are usually 20 ga. I have even cut 1 1/2" drill steels with it. |
Question: | Can you use it as a regular drill? For example wood working, I'm looking for a multipurpose rotary hammer drill if such a thing exists |
Answer: | 1inch |
Question: | Is this drill good for drilling through mudsill (wood) into a foundation (concrete)? I'm earthquake retrofitting my house |
Answer: | Max 3000 per manufacturer but you really want under 2000 |
Question: | Can a spade be fitted to use on this model? Would be used in a crawl space for digging footings |
Answer: | Yes, that is correct. |

What Is Crystalline Silica?
Silica, often referred to as quartz, is a very common mineral. It is found in many materials common on construction sites, including soil, sand, concrete, masonry, rock, granite, and landscaping materials. The dust created by cutting, grinding, drilling or otherwise disturbing these materials can contain crystalline silica particles. These dust particles are very small and invisible to the naked eye. When inhaled, even in very small amounts, silica dust can cause serious health hazards. Each exposure to silica adds to the lung damage.
What Is Silicosis?
Silicosis is a disabling, irreversible, and sometimes fatal lung disease. When a worker inhales crystalline silica, the lungs react by developing hard nodules and scarring around the trapped silica particles. If the nodules become too large, breathing becomes difficult and death can result. There is no cure for this disease, but it is 100% preventable.
Get Compliant
Whether you are concerned about the health of your employees, your health, compliance or increasing productivity, Bosch has developed PRO+GUARD protection systems. In order to move toward compliancy and protection, it is critical that every component in the system is designed to effectively remove dust. Bosch dust collection systems can reduce airborne dust, helping to create a safer and healthier working environment.
Protect Yourself & Others
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) has issued a final rule to curb lung cancer, silicosis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and kidney disease in Americaʼs workers by limiting their exposure to respirable crystalline silica. While using power tools with a dust attachment/ accessory and dust extractors with the right filter, exposure to silica can be drastically reduced. The new standard went into effect on June 23, 2016, and employers are required to comply with all obligations of the standard by June 23, 2017.

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this strong enough to drill ground rods |
Answer: | Absolutely reverses. Find the manual on Bosch site for assurance. It is red, at the base of the motor. It is a marvelous product, the class of its size. Also, the U.S. version doesn't come, nor does Bosch offer the quick release, keyless three jawed chuck sold in Europe. A chuck is now readily available on Ebay from reputable European hardware stores, at well under seventy dollars including shipping. Look for GBH 2-26 DFR |
Question: | Charger voltage 110 or |
Answer: | I too could not find the chuck so I called Bosch. Bosch indicated the chuck was available in Europe but not in the USA. I then decided to look for it on amazon.es (spain} which uses the same username and password as here in the US. I had used this site for foreign movies and other things. Well there it was. I copied that item and was able to paste it in amazon.com site and it came up. It shipped to my home from the UK. I was afraid the chuck may not fit but it fit perfectly. and it is of superb quality. User questions & answers
Question: | What is the frequency of this hammer 50/60hz |
Answer: | The D25951K has a weight of 41.300 LBS ( the whole kit). The tool itself weighs 29.3 LBS. |
Question: | this makita include storage case |
Answer: | It is a 15 amp motor. To figure out wattage- multiply the amp rating by 120 (in North America). For example, a table or miter saw rated at 15 amps will require around 1800 watts continuous, thus a 2500 watt generator, inverter or transformer would be the absolute minimum, with a larger unit being ideal. Also keep in mind- inverters, generators and transformers have widely differing designs and power quality. |
Question: | Frequency of the tool I know it's 110v but what is the frequency 50/60hz |
Answer: | The hammer is 29 pounds. Possibly the 40 pounds is referring to shipping weight. |
Question: | How much does it cost the shipping and delivery to colombia...?¿.. Bogotá Colombia Latin America. Thnx |
Answer: | Yes, the D25951K will include a kit box. |

User questions & answers
Question: | what is the difference in the Bosch 11321evs and 11264evs |
Answer: | Without actually using each of the others, your question can't be answered. What I can tell you is that my son uses this hammer 12 hours a day alongside other men doing the same job. The others are envious of this hammer because it's so much easier to use than other hammers and doesn't cause as much physical discomfort as others can. When it wears out, it will be replaced with the same hammer. I hope this helps. |
Question: | means what |
Answer: | Made in China |
Question: | Why is there conflicting info between amazon and bosch website on the impact energy. Bosch states 6.1 ft_lbs and amazon states 9.6 ft/lbs |
Answer: | No, if your looking for a smooth face. Look for a finishing hammer. |
Question: | What is the difference between the 11321EVS and the 11264EVS |
Answer: | shipping has a cost. the more it weighs the more it costs. |
