Answer:	It doesn’t. It is real bad. Every other day or sometimes every day, I have to take off the mountains of ice, and throw it away, bc the refrigerator starts making bad noises when the bucket is full. It is very bad. It never stop making ice. Very disappointed with it.

Answer:	This DOES need hard wiring. It also needs a cord wired to it. The toggle switches kept burning out, so we re-wired with a 30-amp switch and it seems to be working very well so far! Hope that helps!
