| Answer: | If your lathe has a 1" x 8tpi spindle, this will fit. It does not use and adapter so that is the only size it will fit. As HF has marketed a number of lathes with different spindles you will need to check this - 1" x 8tpi is the most common, but they have also sold a number of others. |

To provide speed ranges to suit any situation, especially for the more experienced turner, there is a three step pulley. This arrangement allows the variable speed controller to adjust speeds from 60 to 900 rpm on the low step of the pulley, 110 -1800 rpm on the 2nd step (medium), and a high speed range of 220 -3600 rpm on the the 3rd step. The belt need only be changed if you want to move to a different range of speeds. This is a very simple process. |

| Answer: | Speculation here: the Nova Chuck Bundle is compatible with Nova chucks, using Nova screw hardware. Similarly, Nova Cole jaws use Nova bumpers to hold your workpiece securely. Nova sells replacement mounting screws and bumpers. The various pieces are designed by Nova to ensure safe operation when installed properly. Listing a thread size may lead customers to think they can replace with parts that do not meet Nova’s design specifications, or be used on chucks that have different specs. This, in turn, may lead to catastrophic failure, and operator injury/fatality. NOT listing thread sizes may greatly reduce Nova liability in this scenario. You can do whatever you want to use these parts, but Nova doesn’t have to make it easy for you to hurt yourself... |

| Answer: | The large accessories are designed to fit on any of the nova chucks (note that this does not include the chuck, only the accessories to add to the chuck). The recommended chucks for the large jaw set was the Supernova2 or the Titan chucks. If you have the appropriate adapter for the Shopsmith Mark V (which I believe is NOVA ISNS 5/8-Inch Bore Chuck Insert/Adapter) and a suitable chuck, the accessories will fit on a nova chuck. I think the more important question is if you'd need the large set, since I understand the swing on the Shopsmith Mark V lathe to be about 12.5", which is similar to the Nova Comet II midi late. With the Large accessories designed for larger turning projects (up to 28"), they handle more than double the 12.5" capacity. To answer the question, yes they'll work but they're way overkill. If you're looking for a chuck with accessories... I'd recommend the NOVA 23245 Chuck and Most Popular Jaw Accessory Bundle & the adapter for the Mark V to use the Nova chuck. |

It will work on my Laguna Rivo 1836 if you bought it and need to sell it cheap |

| Answer: | It is slightly larger, but is drilled to fit all of the same jaws . This anniversary edition version sn2 is tapped at 1 1/4” 8tpi to fit most full sized lathes . It will not retrofit other sizes . You will need to get the non aniversery version and buy nova inserts to fit your spinal . I have a g3 as well it is tapped at 1” 8 tpi . I used it on my mini lathe . I had to buy a bulky adapter that converts it to 1 1/4 . No grub screws though . Which is bad if you run fast and have an electric break , or run in reverse . I use it for my coke jaws . So no problem, you run those slow . Sn2 tightens whith a hex screw and have a cover for the back that has indexing holes . G3 used a chuck key type tightens mechanism . At the end of the day they do the sane thing . I guess get the one that works best with your machine . If you have a full size lathe get the supernova 2 . If you have a mini lathe get a full size one :) you’ll hate life less . |

The Cole jaws are a very versatile set designed primarily for the re-chucking of bowls to remove chuck marks or to re-shape the bottom of bowls that have already been turned. The Cole Jaws come with a set of extra long mounting screws, which enables you to mount the 50mm, Step, and 100mm jaws onto the face of your Cole jaws, allowing you to do you bowl from start to finish with out changing jaws. All the facilities of the other jaw sets can be fully utilized in conjunction with the Cole jaws. These jaws more than any other really begin to explore the tremendous versatility of the Nova Chuck. A special woodworm screw (optional) can be used for initial bowl mounting. With this combination of holding methods, it is possible to turn a bowl from rough blank to a completely finished smooth bowl with just this one jaw set. The Nova Chuck Cole jaw combination is the only chucking system to allow such a complete facility without any complex jaw changes or different set ups. There are a number of re-chucking options; false wooden jaws can be added, wooden dowels used or rubber stoppers which are provided with the basic kit. You can also purchase the 6030 extended bumper kit for added versatility.
