My German Shepherd always breaks the plastic flying disc with his first catch so I wanted to try something different. We played for over an hour in the snow and it still looked like new. I am sure if I let him sit and chew on it they would break also but I feel we will get alot more play out of these vs the regular plastic ones.

Answer:	The Frisbee flys good with a hard toss. I use them mostly for my older dog because they are softer to catch. Another option is SofFlite for those dogs with a soft mouth. They fly well but a hard bite dog will ruin them pretty fast. The SofFlite can be thrown (by me) with better accuracy. A good thing if you are playing g Updog or doing Free Style. Fun at home with a soft mouth dog, the Flippy Flopper is good.

Answer:	Yes, in fact it would be good to have these if you're going through rivers - they'll save you from accidental slips especially if the rocks are a bit slippery, and you can also use them to gauge and test the ground (or riverbed) that you're about to step on. We'd recommend giving the poles a thorough drying afterwards though by taking them apart and patting dry or air drying. As with all things metal, rust is an enemy and drying the poles will help prevent that.
