Answer:	I don’t know the diameter, but it is very small. Personally, I like that. It’s snug on the earlobe.

Answer:	No, but I think it’s either silver or surgical steel because those are the only two metals other than gold I can wear in piercings. I’ve worn these everyday for a couple weeks now and had no issues at all. The gold does wear off I’ve found... but I did dip them in rubbing alcohol when I first got them, and wear them in the shower. That being said I actually still love these- really comfy to wear 24/7.

Answer:	Actually, it does. Loosen the phillips head screw closest to the "axle". After you do that you can pull the plastic axle out (it's about 4" long). Repeat for the one on the other side of the bracket. Mount the bracket, put the two plastic "axles" back and retighten the screws. Another helpful tip is to pull all the airhose out from the reel before attempting to lift it. It's a lot lighter when most of the hose is sitting on the floor.
