User questions & answers

Question: Just received my cdi torque wrench "2503ldfnss" advertised as range 0 ft-lb to 250. but the certificate of calibration says 50-250 ft-lbs? Did i get the wrong wrench
Answer: As all mechanical torque wrenches are calibrated at 20% to 100% of their torque range and should not be used above or below that, you should determine what your lowest torque value is and purchase a wrench whose range in the middle best meets that need. Your 2503LDFNSS is certified at 50' lbs. to 250' lbs. A nice wrench to fill the gap would be the 502LDFNSS, certified at 10' lbs. to 50' lbs. This would only leave you lacking certified torque in the zero to 120 inch pounds range. All of this assumes your torque needs are above 120" lbs. Torque is measured as far down as inch ounces, so again, it should be determined by your fastening needs foremost.
Question: Does the cdi torque 3002ldinss allow a bolt to be tightened without requiring that the wrench be removed and refitted after each turn
Answer: That torque wrench is required to be removed and refitted after each turn! There is no ratcheting mechanism built into the tool.
Question: Style: 0-75 in.lbs wrench. Does it come in a hard case or bag or nothing at all? Randy
Answer: This item comes with a hard projective case.
Question: Is this in FOOT POUNDS or INCH POUINDS? This is a 3/8" Drive Torque Wrench. Normally "0-600 Foot Pound" torque wrenches are 1/2" Drive
Answer: The CDI Torque Products #6002LDINSS is a 3/8-Inch drive 0 to 600 Inch Pounds wrench. This wrench will come with a custom blow-molded storage case, user manual, and Certificate of Calibration traceable to N.I.S.T. Question: Will this work with a crowfoot wrench? I can't tell how far the driver is set back from the sides
Answer: This wrench will work with a crow's foot. If the crows foot is attached perpendicular to the wrench, the torque reading is essentially unchanged. In line with the wrench, the actual torque will be a little higher than indicated on the dial. To figure out how much higher, mark a point at the center of the handle and measure to the center of a nut in the crows foot, then divide by the length from the mark on the handle to the center of the square drive.Dave T
Question: Is this tool made in usa
Answer: My 1502LDIN torque wrench has "MADE IN USA" and "US AND GERMAN PARTS" printed on the dial on either side of the needle.
