Question:	Is it true that the fan runs continuously even under no load
Answer:	In my usage it seems like this inverter has 3 fan speeds. A low mode is always run when it is switched on, a medium mode that will kick in somewhere in the 400-600 load range, and a high mode that will kick in around the 800w load range. It does seem to be temp throttled, rather than load throttled, since it will usually take some moments after a high load is applied for the fan to ramp up and some time after a high load is removed to ramp back down. I wouldn't call it excessively loud, but is definitely audible, especially in the med and high modes.
Question:	Will it run a 10amp shop vac
Answer:	A 10 amp shop vac draws over 1000 watts, which is the limit for this inverter. It could also draw two or three times as many watts very briefly when it first starts. So, no, that would not be a good match. Even if the inverter didn't shut down or blow a fuse, it would be hard on the inverter and probably greatly shorten its life. Look for an inverter that is rated for at least 2000 or 3000 watts if you need to run a 10 amp shop vac.
Question:	Can I use it with a 110v vacuum
Answer:	Very likely not. Answer:	Doesn't sound normal. Must be something floating around inside. Return it or.... if outside the return window take a shot and open it up. Might be a loose nut or something that can loose.

Answer:	There's a long detachable phone cable connecting the inverter to a simple on/off switch with indicator light. It's optional because you can also turn the inverter on/off on the unit itself.

Answer:	A previous answer of 0.8 amps is silly. Let's do the math. The inverter is rated at 600 watts. If it is 90% efficient, then to deliver an output of 600 watts it requires an input of 666.67 watts. At a battery voltage of 13.2 volts (you can pick what you want from 12.8 to 13.7) then Ohm's law decrees that the inverter will draw 50.51 amps from the battery. This is a far cry from 0.8 amps. Better keep your engine running if you load up this inverter.

Answer:	A typical CPAP machine can consume approximately 80W. 800Whr is a significant amount of power to be consuming from the truck's battery, especially in the cold weather. You run the risk of depleting the battery and not being able to start the truck. It might be worthwhile to carry two 100AH batteries (24V) and a 24V charger in the truck with you and use those for the CPAP. When the truck is running, plug the charger into the truck and recharge the batteries. Just bear in mind when batteries are in an enclosed space, and being charged or discharged, they can give out H2 gas. It is best to get sealed AGM batteries, which have recombinant gas systems to prevent or minimise exhausted gas.

Answer:	This is an older question but it gets asked a lot so for others I’ll answer. AC inverters are not well suited to high sustained loads like space heaters. A typical household space heater will draw around 1500W on “high” and usually around 1000W on “low”. At “low, or 1000W, for example, you will be placing a roughly 100A load on your battery bank. If your battery bank could actually sustain 100A while delivering its full rated amp-hour capacity then a 125Ah battery would be 100% depleted within a single hour of running the space heater on its “low” setting! However, lead acid batteries are subject to the Peukert Effect, which can significantly reduce the accessible capacity of the lead acid battery under high demand loads. As a result, a typical flooded deep cycle lead acid battery with an amp draw nearly equal to its 20-hour Amp-hour capacity rating (which is normally based upon a C/20, or 20-hour discharge cycle) will typically only be able to deliver about 50% of its claimed Amp-hour capacity, or about 62Ah, at such a high sustained load before the voltage would plummet below the 10.5VDC that represents “100%” depleted and the inverter will go into low voltage shutdown to protect both the battery and itself. In other words, that 125Ah battery would be effectively dead after just 30 minutes of operation! One needs an enormous battery bank to sustain a 1000W (1KW) load over an extended period of time. A similar conundrum exists with running air conditioning, only air conditioning uses less than 1/3rd the power per BTU compares to resistive heating. If you need emergency heating to keep a room warm, forget the electric space heater and buy a stand-alone propane space heater like a Mr. Heater Big Buddy that is designed for safe indoor operation (with automatic shutdown in low oxygen conditions to prevent carbon monoxide production as well as automatic tip-over shutdown). You can then heat a reasonable sized room for the cost of no more than a few dollars worth of propane per day during a power outage and you won’t need thousands of dollars worth of batteries that need replacing very 5-8 years!

Question:	How loud is the cooling fan
Answer:	Yes the USB port is active even with the inverter off. That is because it is a dc current 12 v outlet while the inverter, when on, produces 110. As mentioned you could shunt it off. But this allows you to have 12 power for a spotlight or some light without having to turn on the inverter and waste the amp draw. Your charge controller also may have a live USB port as my wanderer does.

Answer:	“No load” power consumption is the power consumed by a device when it is plugged into a power outlet. In this case, I think if you are not “plugged” into one of the Converter outlets the “no load” consumption my be affecting your battery (power source) only. Additionally, the Coverter must be turned on.
Question:	How long will it power a modem/router
