When I got home with the new one, it had the exact same problem. No matter how hard I pulled on the extension, it just wouldn’t give. I had pulled so hard that the handle came off. I was able to see the back end of the extension but and noticed a significant difference between the one I bought a month ago and this one. Craftsman decided to silently change the shape of the back end of the extension bit and plopped a snap ring in the final groove of the extension. That is the reason it won’t come out. All you have to do is wrangle that thing out of there and “viola!”, it will work just like it’s supposed to again. |

| Answer: | Just a heads-up, I purchased two of these drivers via Amazon from TheHardwareCityCO, and they came without any flat-head (for slotted screws) or Phillips driver bits. My drivers instead came with 6 Torx (T-10, T-15, T-20, T-25, T-27 and T-30); 2 Hex bits (1/8" and 9/64"); and 4 two-prong bits (6, 8, 10 and 12). A rather unconventional set. Of course the webpage photo shows straight tip and Phillips drivers, and two prior responses to this question refer to them, too. FYI. UPDATE: Returned for refund but not without major headache: Both drivers arrived in a ziplock bag but seller accused me of discarding original packaging, hence initially refused to refund; also, claims the bits are standard yet Channellock says otherwise. Back and forth with Amazon to dispute. Short version: DO NOT TRUST TheHardwareCityCO, buy from a more reputable seller. |

| Answer: | I can't say with any certainty, but as this is designed to be connected directly to the pool motor pump, and is required by some states by code, I would think anything from Hayward will have been designed with the proper materials for sunlight compatibility (UV resistant). What I can say with certainty is that after 1 and 1/2 summers of being installed and exposed to sunlight (taken in during the winter months with the pump), the exterior wire insulation still looks brand new, as does the molded plug body and built in wire strain relief. Based on this, I suspect it will meet your requirements. |

| Answer: | I would put a large vise grip on the shaft, so the handle won't be effected, Need to make sure the tip is the correct size for the screw. (no play where they connect) if the screw tip is worn, maybe use something like a hack saw (or dremel like tool) to make a better slot there are drivers or bits that have a hex shaft so you can use a wrench on them better. |

I'm going to buy the Sata tool for my car tool kit. If the bits break, I can still buy reasonably priced quality bit replacements. For this price you cant go very wrong. |
