It is very easy to clean and the rice doesn't stick to it, no burned rice on the bottom. If you are not particular about your rice, then I would stick to the regular Tiger rice cooker which is much cheaper and still does a decent job of cooking rice once you get the water amount down. Mine is still working after almost twenty years of constant use! That is why I bought this Tiger.
