Answer:	For doing what you're describing the classic tool is a BIG pair of "end nippers" such as Channellock 148-14. It's amazing that a "wire cutter" can be such a great nail puller too.
Question:	How wide is the head of the puller? I need to use it in a 1/2" channel
Answer:	Absolutely. It takes a little technique but once learned it works great. Open the hawa, slam it down so the jaw tips,are below the head of the nail, pry away. It does leave a dent in the wood so it''s not for fine work. It is intended for opening wood crates and un- nailing pallets.
Question:	Which size would be best for deck boards and general exterior stuff
Answer:	Very well, once you learn how. No directions with it. I was holding it straight up and down and trying to get it lined up on the nail head. Since I'm on the back side of 70 and not a contortionist, that didn't work. I was pulling deck nails. Kneel down on one knee and hold the top at about a 45 degree angle away from you. Put the back claw next to the nail head,straighten it up and slam the handle at least twice. That should seat the claw in the wood under the head. Then just push towards the foot. Once you've got a good grip on the nail, extend the handle up for extra leverage. Be careful when you are slamming the handle. Be sure your bottom hand is under the stopper. A picture would have been worth 1000 words.

Answer:	I'm not sure where mine is right now but by memory I would say about a quarter of an inch. They are wide enough to grab the nail head and pull it out.

Answer:	The bits are symmetrical. This tool is not adequate for log splitting or felling. It's slightly larger than an average size hatchet.

Answer:	It does indeed come with a poly-fabric-weave type sheath. There are 4 snap closures as well to ensure a secure fit.
Question:	Any one tried throwing
Answer:	It can be thrown, but I don't recommend it. The riveted steel pommel came loose the first time the butt hit the target instead of the blade. The head really needs a bit more weight to be thrown well. When my friends and I tried we noticed it took considerably more force to make it stick than any traditional hatchet or axe due to it being heavier on the handle end (we are all fairly proficient at throwing). All in all though, if you can heave it hard enough to make up for the lack of weight in the head, it will land.
Question:	Is this axe suitable for hobbits
Answer:	hobbits should stick with tiny elven blades. axes are more for dwarfs, as noted by chad. the more important question is what is more deadly to orcs, the black one, the blue one, or the black with the leather handle?
