Answer:	I find that the more I’ve used it, the less effective it has become for this purpose. Either I’m getting better at detecting nails, or worse at appendages. This is odd considering I’m all thumbs.

Answer:	I’m not sure. You will have to pull the capacitor out of your opener and verify the model number of the capacitor. You can find cross referenced numbers of it online. That’s how I found this particular one worked for my opener.

Answer:	No it does not replace. The voltage can be equal to or greater than 220 VAC, but the capacitance has to be matched to 70 mfd. In this case you have 43-53 mfd which is way less than 70 mfd. Good luck.

Answer:	To correct William Philmlee, this is *not* a 110-220v powered version. It requires 12v DC to power it and then via the relay it can switch most any voltage, such as 12v or 110v, up to the max amp rating of the relay. For 12v applications you can use the battery to power the module plus run through the relay to the motor to turn the motor on/off.

Answer:	Only way to answer is to determine if “lift master opener” uses same size capacitor as one shown. It is an electric device measured in microfarads (MFD) and AC voltage rating. In this example shown; it’s “50-60 Microfarad (MFD), 220 Volts AC (VAC), 60 Hertz (Hz)” thus if that is same for MO it will work. However, if LMO has a different capacitor then this example could damage LMO. If your power provider uses 50 Hertz (Hz) then capacitor needs to match that too. J

Answer:	That part number may have meaning for OEM of your garage door opener but not for me and my Genie opener. What you would find more helpful is the microfarad value, voltage rating, connection details, form factor, measurements.
