4) Working With The Honing Stone

To work with the honing stone, all you have to do is lift the blade, set the stone (as in the photo) and slide it trough on both sides. This takes off any burr off the edge of the blade and removes any gum buildup from the adhesives that are part of the laminate flooring.

Answer:	Well, I don't have a clue what "EX" or "AC" is. I just know it's a "Rubbing compound" from 3M. That was good enough for me. I've used it and, their Polishing compound and have had great results from both. I will continue to use them. I've used both by hand, and with a machine. And, I've used foam pads and wool pads. Both have their place in polishing paint.
Question:	I have a crain model 001 a vinyl and laminate cutter, will this blade be compatible
Answer:	It will be much more effective if you use it with a rotary buffer and a 100% wool buffing pad

Answer:	Anything on the car that have been refinished can be polish with 3M 36058 compound. Just on plastic parts avoid overheating (to be on safe side).

Answer:	I'm not an expert on headlight cleaning. I believe rubbing compound is not aggressive enough to resolve the hazing of headlights. I suggest that you purchase a kit designed to resolve the problem, as I did. I bought rubbing compound to be used on my car and my boat, not the headlights.
Question:	Does this fit the EAB 13 inch laminate cutter
Answer:	The clay bar removes tiny impurities, pollution, that sort of thing. The rubbing compound has a much higher grit. If you put a pile of it on your car and run a buffer on it for 2-3 minutes, you will rub right through the clearcoat. So you have to be judicious. But the only two ways I can think of removing rust that's really stuck on are this rubbing compound, or Muriatic acid (mine came from a hardware store in a brown plastic bottle, with the cleaning supplies like Comet cleanser, etc.). I think either is a good option. I'd put a little of this on a rag and just try to rub it like 5-6 strokes. It should be faded or gone by then if this is going to work. The muriatic acid you could just dribble a little on the stain, rub it off with a rag. If it's going to work, you'll see results in 2 seconds on the first wipe. Whichever thing you use, be sure to wash it off your car well when you're done. Good luck!

Answer:	Maybe mix some soapy water with some more rubbing compound? It has a certain oiliness to it, so requires some detergent of some kind to get it all off normally.

Answer:	I used it to remove light scratches on my car, and it didn’t work.

Answer:	I would use a product called “Never Dull” on brass. it’s easy to use and works well. I polished a lot of brass with that stuff in the Navy!

Answer:	This isn't really a shining/polishing compound. Turtle wax has other products for that, but this is mostly for use to remove paint and scratches.
Question:	can the height be adjusted
Answer:	Rubbing compound is formulated for paint scratches. For minor scratches, not deep enough to expose metal, the grit moves your existing paint and fills the scratch. Should wash and wax area after using compound.
